Questions & Answers

What would be the most convenient way to shovel snow with these?

Due to the extreme heat in his hands, my husband's hands sweat! A waterproof bag Shovels or blowers are perfect for shoveling snow

Are there different dimensions for a size xl and a size S, m, and l are the only sizes listed on the size chart. ?

The dimensions of my body aren't known, but will let you know that I am a large man (3XL shirts) & I was able to fit into the XXL with ease.

What is the inside of these mittens like? Do they have finger dividers?

Mittens are not what they are called.

Would you mind telling me how I should wash and dry them? It is normal for hands to sweat, which results in a musty odor. ?

Carhartt Men's W should be taken care of. The best way to clean your mittens is to spot clean them and let them air dry. Since the mittens have a waterproof insert inside, they should not be washed in the machine. You should use a light-colored pen If the stain persists, use a microfiber cloth dampened with a colored soapy water to wipe it away. You can use a mild detergent to clean it up. Make sure the mittens are not in direct contact with a Rather than lying flat, it is best to hang the shirts up to dry, so the cuffs are facing downwards.

Drying out of the linings is impossible Stupid bacteria that smell like amonia (or worse) & spread bad smells through a room
3/5

Since I purchased them a year and a half ago, they've been mine. They were bought to use during the winter. After spending hours on Amazon looking for reviews, I found a decent pair of work mittens. There is no drying out of the linings. Since they are hanging so high from the ceiling light over the wood, I've been hanging them by their fingertip tips- It has been open to the air for several days. Even after drying out they still stink, causing the whole room to Ammonia is a common chemical The smell is almost like urine. There is nothing good about it. The seller & the buyer There was no response from the manufacturer about the issue of moisture retention. It may be necessary to dispose of them as they are not suitable to donate to a good cause. It is rare for me to post feedback, but I thought that anyone reading reviews of the product should be aware of the problem with moisture retention that occurs when the polyester linings are in contact with moisture, and what disgusting odor develops as a result.

Is there a reason why all those mittens are hated? The weather does not matter how cold it is when I run 16 miles every Saturday
5/5

My feet (which I was able to solve about a year ago) and my hands have been the only parts of my body that have been hard to protect from the cold. However, when the temperature goes below 20 or when it is windy, they are too cold. A product called lobster claw gloves is designed to improve runners' grip on the ground (they're called mittens). However, mittens are the most popular choice. What's the reason? As a result, aside from your thumb, all of your fingers are kept warm by the forces of friction. sometimes you can also wriggle your thumb into the main part of the glove to warm it up. mitts are very warm, and they have been wearing them in temperatures as low as 18 degrees, with a I didn't notice any deterioration in my hands after spending the morning outside.

It is a comfortable and warm state of mind It would have been great if I had purchased earlier! In order to try out Carhartt gloves on me for Christmas, my wife ordered five sets
5/5

My problem with cheaper gloves with individual fingers was that my fingers always got very cold after some period of time. The fix for this was to pull my fingers into the main body so they could warm against my palms and each other's fingers, which was a double-edged sword. My fingers were getting colder as I warmed them--it was like an edged sword. So far I have worn these only on a few cold days and I have been pleased with how they perform. In spite of the fact that the fingers remain warm, I get a bit sweaty when working hard. I was shoveling snow in 20 degrees for 20 minutes. The temperature was 30 degrees, and it was too hot for my hands. I don't have the opportunity to comment on their performance in the bitter cold since the weather has warmed up so much. There is only one thing I can say, and that is that I should have replaced my beat old gloves earlier with these, since I am almost certain that they would have kept my fingers much warmer this past winter when it was in the negatives! My hands fit just right, but my grip is compromised a little since I cannot flex my fingers easily. However, the problem is a minor one for me as I use the hands for a lot of different things. Hence, they are perfect for use while shoveling snow, hiking, or doing yard work, as well as while driving, sitting on a cold steering wheel, or handling cold objects.

One month of gentle use results in the product falling apart
3/5

Rather than replace the much more expensive pair of ski mittens my husband destroyed, I bought him these as a stocking stuffer. Although I knew the price was too good to be true, I assumed that these would be fine for a mid-priced pair It's been a while since we had an Atlantic winter. But he has only worn them a dozen times and mainly for short walks outside, and already they're falling apart. He's worn them only a dozen times thus far and they're falling apart already. It's warm enough, but I wouldn't use these (unless - for some bizarre reason - you only intend to use them a couple of times).

During the week following the purchase, the mitts tore
3/5

This is one of my favorite brands - Carhartt It is a good company with some great What kind of mittens are these? Upon purchase, they began tearing at the seams within a week. They are certainly warm, although not as warm as my Kombis, which I bought in support of another pair of mittens (Kombi). It's a bummer if you have snow in them because they don't seem to dry out. As a result, some snow snuck into the mitt when I built a quinzee (like an igloo) and wore them while shoveling snow. Additionally, I used them to shovel 10 inches of snow that we recently received in Minnesota, and even while walking my dog on a walk. In that case, I'm going to see if I can exchange the mittens or return them This sort of speed should not be possible for a product.

This set of Mittens is nice and warm
5/5

A while back I was looking for a pair of mittens and I was amazed at how much I could pay for them online Do people buy mittens that cost more than $400? I do not fit into the range of people who buy Artic Explorers, so I just wanted a pair of gloves that would keep my hands warm and not get wet from snow when I used my snowblower. What does it mean to pay over $100 for my hands to be It doesn't matter what price you pay, you're going to find some negative reviews, even on $200+ mittens, so I thought I would try these The reviews are generally better than average, and they're made by Carhart, and some of their other products I like. In all honesty, I'm very pleased that for $25, they've exceeded my expectations, and yes, they keep your hands toasty and do seem Having just received them, we'll see how they hold up, but I won't be using them for any work involving physical effort, otherwise I'd get leather mittens, and I don't ski or snowboard, so maybe those would be more suitable for me. A visit to the Antarctic has not been planned as of yet. For shoveling snow and going on walks at below freezing, but not for snow buckets, these will be fine. It will take time to tell if the overall quality will hold up, but they look well built and I don't see any concerns with the.

What need do you have to buy something else if you can have mittens made by Carhartt? Carhartt stuff has become an increasingly popular brand for me in the past few years, even though I don't work in construction
4/5

These days, our culture is so filled with cheap and disposable products, but Carhartt creates apparel specifically for tough work, which means that it is usually going to last for a long time with don't think it will surprise me if my Carhartt raincoat outlives me, it is a real beast

These mittens are nice and warm. It is suitable for skiing, as well as other winter sports. Their bulkiness is to be expected, but they are pretty big and bulky. When it is really biting out there, you don't want to be without these gloves. I have not yet felt the need to put a hand warmer into them, but they are big enough for one. I found the quality to be typical Carhartt Very well done. My expectation is that they will take a while to arrive.
