Is it possible to use 4mm cord with these?

Yes, braided cord with a diameter of 4mm will work. E6000, a clear adhesive that can be found in the crafts section of Walmart, was used. I cut mine down to 40-inch lengths before tying the ends together. They have a tendency to unbraid, so twist them in place and wait for the adhesive to dry over night! Best of luck!

4mm is the best size, 3 can be done with a lot of glue, and 5 is too big to fit.

This is an inaccuracy in the description. The opening is only a few inches in diameter. Not the, but the 5cm. The advertised size is 8cm. It's only a matter of inches. It's not the, but it's a 25-inch screen. The advertised display size is 31 inches. As a result, they are ineffective. They won't fit on a bolo tie's standard leather lanyard.

The purchase did not excite me too much

The overall appearance is a very dull grey, and it does not look as nice as it does in the photo. Only seven of the eight pieces were delivered to me. The appearance of these bolo tips is very disappointing when compared to other bolo tips I've purchased on Amazon.
