My camping gear required a large duffel bag to fit at least a week's worth of supplies. This bag passed check-in with no problems, though when it is loaded full, it would be nice to have something other than the straps to sling over your shoulder, it worked, but I found the bag to be quite Perfect as far as my needs are concerned, and I like the fact that it can be packed into its own pocket after each use.
This dark colored bag has a pattern with flowers I love. I recently bought the solid black bag for my teenage daughter so she could carry it on her own trips. It is well crafted, solidly stitched, and the zippers are smooth. This is awesome that the U- The flap is covered with a protective cover to keep items inside dry even when it rains. In addition to the main compartment, there is an end pocket along the top that has a zipper. Pockets inside the jacket are not available- However, it does not bother us since we can always add a cube if we need to compartmentalize, but we don't actually need to.
When we first used this, the strap on the bag broke almost immediately. I am usually impressed by Dakine products, but this one left a lot to be desired. During our international trip, I packed all of our laundry in this duffel bag so we could take it to the Duffels this large have the advantage of folding into themselves and being easy to store. With only clothes in it, I filled it about halfway I am not carrying anything heavy The washing machine broke as we carried the laundry to it. The item had some kind of defect. However, by the time we got home, we were able to fix it. We were on the way back from our trip when the returns window.
When I bought this as a gift for a white elephant, it was absolutely loved by the recipient! These bags are great and built well I have the 45-liter bag and I travel with it all the time it has been my go-to bag for years.
The material is of good quality and the size is adequate for a 4-footer The front should have been long enough to have a pocket.
My work travels will be made easier with this device. An helicopter will be used to pick it up and drop it off each day. One thing I don't like is that the bag does not have any pockets on the inside.
As you would expect from Dakine, this is a great product.
When I made my first trip, the loop that connected the shoulder strap broke. I love the bag, which is why I gave it three stars. Sewing the strap back on will take care of that.
