My boyfriend bought this for his increasingly flimsy German passport. I confess we did not measure anything before purchasing since we simply read in the description that it was supposed to fit US, UK, and almost every other country's passport. The man realized the case was the exact same size as his passport, which meant there was not enough space to put this OVER his passport. It was a little surprising to think that his German passport was any different in size from various passports from around the world, Since it is technically our fault for not measuring, I can only take one star off for this. He would have been left without a much needed passport cover if it weren't for this product. Otherwise, it's a splendid product. I've put it over my American passport without incident.
Our passports require some protection, so I scoured the Web for something simple. Neither of us travel with a US passport or a European passport. As these are clear, it is easier to figure out which is which. There is also a small flap where you can store currency or other items. Due to the fact that I store all my travel items in the same travel pouch, I found the leather and leather-like covers to be too bulky. Despite the low price, I find these to be effective.
