Because you cannot carry it on your shoulders, it is a bit awkward to transport. As the bag is so wide, I can't fit it under my shoulder because the handles are about 12" long. It still holds a lot of value for me though. My boat and I use it when we are out on the water. There is enough room in this bag for eight beach towels, toys, make-up bag, snacks, etc. Since it's heavy it weighs a lot, but at least it's all included.
I had the same problem with my bag after it was used for one time but it wasn't fully filled. An image of the rip was sent to the SCOUT representative via email. A brand new bag was sent to you the very next day after they responded within the hour. The customer service was great and very fast.
The fabric is definitely washable (not machine washable), but you'll need a garden hose or kitchen sprayer to do it. For us, it is the perfect bag for traveling and going to the beach.

I bought it to help my son take his clothes into his college dorm room, as well as to use to transport linens. The bottom had been bent in half when it arrived from Amazon, when it was boxed. the bag is firm and sturdy, so that the bag stands upright. The material that lines the bottom of the bag is stronger, firmer than the rest. I bent it to put it in a box, and it got ruined. There would be no way for it to stand The item had to be returned to the store. Amazon should read this review and send a new shipment to me! I just ordered it again and hope someone will ship it properly this time! When you mail it, make sure the bottom of the bag is not bent!.

When I bought my original “used” one from Amazon, it was not in good condition and I quickly returned it. My new one is just what I needed and I am so glad I bought it. I don't know of ANY bag that's more useful than this. This is where I store everything from towels, food, change of clothes, toys, and toiletries for three children who go to the pool every day. It's not unusual for me to receive comments about my bag's size Then the comments turn to "Wow, that is amazing that you can fit so much in there!" We now see other moms carrying their Scout bags to the pool since I sent the link to them. There is a cult following for the show. Having used these bags on vacation and on traveling, I now give them to my friends and family members. It was the best purchase I have ever made. To go to the beach or pool, I no longer have to carry multiple bags. You can't go wrong with love.
My bag has been used almost every day for camping, swimming (almost daily), and overnights and trips on the river. I'm sorry to say this, but it's taken a beating in just a short time. Only the bottom corner shows signs of wear. For the water park I fit five very large and thick beach blankets, a twins-size quilt, a small pillow, a pop-up tent, sunscreen, a can of big spray, five water bottles and a pencil-size It's easy for me to zip it up. There is very little weight to the bag when it is empty. As you add items to it, it gets heavier and heavier. We took all our clothing (three boys through 10 and 11, our parents and mom) as well as a twin blanket and a large toiletry bag with us on our overnighters. I've received a lot of compliments. The first thing I would like to say is - The size and weight are both large. With three boys under the age of 6, decided to give it to my daughter in law to take to the pool. A total of six noodles were contained in this bag. Each of the other mommies asked about it and wanted one, so it was bended like a U and contained 3 sets of swimmies wings, 4 towels, 3 snorkel masks, water bottles, etc. It is made from the same coated canvas material as the reusable shopper bags. This bag does get scratched and shows wear and tear easily, according to what I have heard. I was looking for a bigger size so I spent a lot of money on this. Inside the bag is a clear zip pocket where her phone, wallet, keys, etc, can be stored. She loved the fact that it was so light weight and she can stuff it full!.
Besides bringing 4 BIG thick towels, about 5 beach towels, along with sunscreen and personal items, I also had room for spare items. bottom of the bag is reinforced and the material is thick and waterproof. It is nice that it zips up, and I appreciate how easy it is to zip and how durable it seems. I also appreciate how the handles wrap around underneath the bag so it is more durable and offers more support. It stands on it's own even when empty (this was one of my main concerns), so packing is not a hassle at all. It would be nice if there was a zip-lock bag Small items can be stored in the inside pocket. The overall picture. This is a 5 star review! It is a really great product, that I intend to order some.
I am a beach bag aficionado, so I would say that this bag hits all of my key must haves This bag is LARGE, has sturdy handles, is stylish, water-resistant and has a flat bottom [it does not topple Yes, that's right. My beach bag makes me happy for all the little things it offers. This LARGE tote is the perfect size for an entire day at the beach and has served me well for the last three time that I have used it. In it, I keep all my stuff, along with my husband's [since he insists on only having his swimming trunks], where he keeps his other gear. I will still use every item I have packed in this roomy bag. Women, if you are always carrying everything you need for a day at the beach or at the pool, this is a must have.
As a beach bag or pool bag, I use this. I am not required to carry a big diaper bag and all that I need fits in here. In addition to my picture of bottom stuff, I also included one of my travel puddle jumpers and my life jacket at the top with plenty of room for extra gear. The diaper bag, sunblock, and clothes were organized in an old diaper bag and the towels were rolled The bag holds a lot and is well constructed. It feels sturdy to me and I'm 5'2" so I'm able to carry it full of things. I was a little nervous, but I did not feel ridiculous wearing it. Although I wouldn't want to drag a car onto concrete or scratch it, I understand it's a dilemma. It's lightweight on its own, which I prefer over Bogg bags, and that the top can be zip-closed is a plus. The more I see of them, the better.
