I have a 7-year-old son who is tall and skinny. I placed an order for an 8-piece set. It would be a better fit for my almost 2-year-old if it was 9 years old. It's cheap, flimsy, and when you stretch it far enough to put it on, the print thins out and stretches. br>In addition, the top is short, making it look like a cross between a tankini and a bikini. I ordered a tankini to make it easier for my child to use the potty, but I didn't order a bikini because I think they look creepy on kids, and I still got a creepy toddler-sized bikini. Boooooo. Hiss.
We ordered a size 8 because the top covers her belly button and almost to the top of the bottom piece, but she is petite. She is nine years old, weighs fifty pounds, and is eighteen years old. The straps are strange; she needs assistance putting it on, and they adjust in an odd way, but I like the criss cross because it keeps it in place. The bottoms are a little large, but they stay in place. Overall, it's ok; we'll see how it holds up after a couple of swims. 3 weeks, gentle wash, hang dry (my recommendation).
I purchased an eight-foot tall The top fit okay, if a little small, on my eight-year-old, but the bottoms are much smaller than a typical 8-year-old's bottoms. I let her wear it in our pool at home, but I wouldn't allow her to wear it out in public. The material is of good quality. I'd buy the next size up if it wasn't sold out.
The suit is cute, but it runs a little small. ish. My granddaughter adores the unicorn print, but she'll grow out of it before the season is over. The next time I order, I'll go up a size from her current size.
Material is cheap and thin. Itchy tags that are hard to remove. My daughter's bottoms bunch up and make her look like she's in a diaper when she isn't. I ordered a 3T, and everything else fit perfectly.
Apart from being a tad small, the suit is cute and provides full coverage on the back.
This was purchased for my nearly 6-year-old son. Normally, she is a size 8. It was an excellent match for her. I really like how the straps can be adjusted. It's adorable, and she really likes it.
I didn't expect the narrow straps to hold up, but we're happy with it, and it'll be worn again next summer.
