I'm not sure what makes it sensory, but it washes well and is a hit with my daughter. She chooses this skirt over the rest of her wardrobe. If I had known, I would not have bought these. My daughter is a slim 7-year-old (52 pounds), so the 6x was the perfect fit for her. It's the perfect shade of khaki and falls just above her knees. You won't be disappointed. I'll remember to bring my camera next time.
This skirt is perfect for my daughter, who is a little bigger than her age.
EDIT: The skirt had nicks on it after being worn twice. After I trimmed the loose fabric away from the nicks, I took this picture. This skirt appeals to me, but I wish it were a little more durable.
The skirt uniform was well constructed, and the size was accurate. It was made of a soft polyester fabric (similar to dry-cleaning fabric). material that is appropriate). My child had trouble with clothing sensory issues because of the bands around her waist, but this bottom is made of a stretchy fabric that feels almost like maternity bottoms, so it's not as tight around her hips.
They may run a little big, as I ordered a size seven and it fit my small nine-year-old perfectly. My daughter adores the silky material as well as the shorts that go with it.
It's a nice skirt with flexible soft material, but the flat seams are HUGE and sewn with extremely coarse thread, so it's not for children with sensory issues. This is the polar opposite of what a person with sensory issues requires. Before making more clothes that are supposed to help, I hope this company consults with a real person who has Sensory needs.
It's a good fit, and it's also very comfortable and stretchy.
This skirt is a big hit with my first-grader.
These skirts are fantastic! My daughter received three of them from me! I'm hoping they replenish them in time for the new school year!.
