Questions & Answers

else experience a zipper that slipped down and did not remain in place?

She explained this to the expert (5 yr old wearing the pants) and she said they keep the zipper constantly There has never ever been an instance of a zipper falling down on its own.

The size chart isn't showing up. How can I find it?

It may be more helpful if you look at the "Fit" link above the size selection if you know what size your child normally

Can I tell if these run true to size. Is the roomy side of things, or is it a little tight?

My son wears a size 12 and says it is true to size. I bought him the size 13 boots because he has five sneakers right now. I'm very pleased with the fit!

Besides my other daughter, I have another 3Y who wears tennis shoes. Is there a boot that she should get?

As expected, they are an accurate size and fit well. For socks that fit over the top of my boots, I always order the next size up.

A fatal flaw in the design
3/5

It is very disappointing to have to return It was a wicked deal to get them for $9 on sale with prime, but I think it couldn't really be right. But that's all they have to offer. They're well built and warm. While all the good qualities are lost, the material adheres to the track, which prevents the snow from sliding off. Putting it on ice would only be useful for glare The snow has already fallen a few times in Upstate NY, and regardless of whether it is pure fluff or a heavy lake effect, the boots become immobilized by the snow, making it impossible for my daughter to care for the footwear. It was so cold that we were able to see 3 inches of snow pack on the ball and heel of the boots, and we had only The snow kept falling on top of her, so she had to sit down and punch it off. Here is what the boot looks like after it's been scrapped Absolutely ridiculous for winter use. We can't even thaw them off inside for hours because the snow is still tightly packed. She wears a 1 and we were able to order a 3 to ensure that she could put on wool socks and be able to make it through 5 marathons We have a long winter of 6 months. It seems they run slightly smaller than most brands like Totes (also complete garbage by the way). They do seem well built aside from the fatal design flaw of fabric over the treads. I cannot let my daughter wear them because it is too much of an issue for this mom. I cancelled the order for ones I had planned on giving my nephew after they lasted two wears. They are now on their way to Salvation Army. Kamik is what I will use from now on.

I like its warmth and sturdy feel
3/5

It's mainly due to the fact that they have been useless. I like its warmth and sturdy feel. One of the main problems was that they were useless in the snow As a result, the snow clumps up on the bottom and then creates a snow block on the bottom of the boot, so my son can't walk. My guess is that the tread is too deep and when the snow packs into the tread the sole is too stiff for the toddler to flex while walking so the snow does not break off 'naturally' - it has happened in four different snows (granted, wet snows). There is just building and building until there is a block of snow. In the future I would like to find boots with a shallower tread or with more pliability in the soles.

As snow accumulates on the bottom, it sticks to it
3/5

There have been reports of snow sticking to the soles, so I've added a picture since it's so unusual that it's hard to imagine. These compressed snow balls form in a couple of minutes, and the kid starts asking for help just to move.

In my opinion, the Northside Icicle Boot is the best in its class The clothes are made, they are warm, they are dry, they are Due to my son's fast growth, and the size of his feet, I wanted to find a boot that wouldn't cost too much, was warm, and would The boots are so warm he does not need extra socks, and they stay dry in the house
5/5

The only complaint that my son had was that snow got stuck in the treads and got built up, but I think that was because the first snow we got was so This is a great boot. I'd recommend it to my friends and I'd buy the products.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS Living in Minnesota, I work in the health care field
3/5

The weather here is a lot like winter and we wear only boots for four months out of the year In the course of the year, 6 months are dedicated to this area. As soon as I became aware that my kid would outgrow the boots before the cold weather set in, I purchased a new pair in the spring. Reviewers seemed to be satisfied with the product, and the price seemed reasonable. I was pleased with them when I first received them These lace up sneakers fit well, my kid said they were comfortable, and they seem warm to me. Later, my kid wore them out in the snow to play. While the rubber portion of the boot is fine, the fabric portion, which runs from the ankle to the calf, absorbs water like a sponge and leaves my child's feet soaked. There is no inner lining or water resistance at all! In order to prevent my kid's feet from getting wet and frost bitten when wearing these boots, I need to put his feet in plastic bags before putting on the boots! It's a good thing I have a hair dryer at hand for when he takes them off! Possibly these boots would be okay in a climate that gets a few inches of snow rather than a lot, but in the state of Minnesota where there is a lot of snow, and kids spend a lot of time playing in it, these boots would be terrible. When the snow melts, I'll throw them in the trash and not be able to find a use for them. There is no way anyone else should have to wear these AWFUL shoes! There is not a single star to be given to this product. You do not deserve a star for this!.

The word I want to emphasize is that these shoes are garbage, and not even worth your time
3/5

As far as fit and appearance go, they work well. My four-year-old who wears a size 10 shoe can fit in these with no issue and they cover a good part of his leg to keep it dry. I, however, don't bother with snow when it comes to playing outdoors. They are not durable, as you can see from my pictures. I'd like to point out that these pictures are from the first time he wore them in the snow, and they look almost as if they just The literal sense. Then don't get these!

I would never recommend these to someone!.

It has been snowing a lot lately
4/5

It's hard for me to give these boots five stars because of one problem. It is very easy to keep little feet dry and warm using these. A three-year-old boy was soaked to the skin after spending an hour out in the snow The year is I could still feel the heat radiating from his feet. It seemed to me that the deep tread of these boots would be beneficial. There is a problem because the snow gets piled up on the bottoms and makes it extremely hard for her to walk. After walking for about 2 minutes, I at least had to scrape the bottoms of the boots. She wore them for the first time today, so I am hoping the snow buildup problem will be solved as soon as the rubber gets "worn".
