My two-year-old is petite for her age, and she wears sizes 12 to 14. Clothing sizes range from 18 to 24 months, depending on the brand. I bought a size up and went with 3T, as other reviewers suggested. I've included two photos, one showing the amount of shrinking (after machine washing and drying) and the other comparing sizing with a pair of 18-month leggings. All three pairs of leggings in the second photo have a waistband that is almost the same size.
The most important point I'd like to make is that my granddaughter is a tiny little creature - She is of average height and weight for her age. At 12 months, most of the babies I've cared for are quite plump, and I doubt the size I purchased (12 months) would have been suitable for them. These are a perfect fit for THIS baby, as they are extra long but snug around the leg, allowing them to be pushed up a little. These extra leggings come in handy on days when you're changing your entire outfit two, three, or four times. Thoroughly clean and dry.
These pants were a big hit with my 4-year-old granddaughter. The bunny rabbits on the bottom of the gray pants are adorable, but the material cracked after a few washes, making them appear dingy and old.
Even though they are not made in the USA (sadly, nothing is anymore), Gerber sees it as brands like Carter's that if it has their name on it, it meets the American standard of quality.
These are the softest, cutest leggings you've ever seen. They have the same fit as most toddler leggings. My twins are in a size 2T, but I ordered a 3T for them. Leggings are always a size up for me because they almost always shrink in the wash. And these, too, performed admirably. They were a perfect fit, with a little extra room. They've been washed a few times and haven't faded and are still in excellent condition. These were a great deal, and I'll be ordering more as I require them.
I'm not sure why plain black leggings for NB are so difficult to come by these days. I was fortunate enough to come across these, and they are fantastic! For my baby girl, the quality appears to be adequate and comfortable.
Today, I got these. They were in a plastic bag that had clearly been opened, and they were on a very broken hanger. The pants had a soiled appearance. Smudges of some sort were visible on the cat print. They weren't brand new and had clearly been returned. Furthermore, one of the seams was fraying with strings.
It's adorable, but it's a little too small. My daughter is 7 months old and weighs around 16 pounds (she's tall for her age). I placed an order for a size 12 month. Although the length was adequate, the waistband was too tight.
