For my slim, tall 9-year-old, I purchased a "size 10" boys vest, which fits well, albeit a little long and bulky. But it's not a warm safety orange like the picture suggests! It's a neon pink/coral color that's pale and almost glowing. I assume this is the correct unit because they don't appear to have a separate coral listing, but it is unmistakably pink rather than orange. He doesn't seem to mind and seems content with it, but if you're looking for *real orange*, look elsewhere.

This was purchased as part of my daughter's school uniform. I couldn't find what I needed among the girl's choices. This vest matches her plaid perfectly, keeps her warm, and she wears it all the time. I also bought her a second one, this time in a different color. It's large enough that she should be able to wear it again next year, and the price was reasonable.
The quality of this vest is exceptional. I was of sufficient weight to embroider or applique a design. The vest is comfortable to wear and extremely warm on days when it's too hot for a coat but too cool for a pullover. It washes well and has a sturdy zipper that keeps it in shape. This is an excellent purchase.
This was purchased for our granddaughter, who will turn nine years old on her birthday. This will be perfect for her because she loves lime green and it can be purchased for either a boy or a girl. It has a fantastic, long-lasting zipper and is well-made. Because it has a strange odor, I'm going to hand wash it before sending it. The width across the bottom and chest is 17 inches, and the length from the top of the shoulder to the bottom edge is 20 inches.

After only one wash, the zipper broke and the paint on it chipped! Returning! Thick fleece with a flimsy zipper.
