It has Velcro tabs, so it can be adjusted a little. I bought one in 2018 that was completely waterproof, but the new set I got makes me doubt the jacket. Pants, without a doubt, are fantastic. I haven't had a chance to try out the new set yet.
Yes, it; s okey
The insulation in this Frosty Slope set is 100 grams. The Buga weighs 150 grams, while the Double Flake set weighs 170 grams (the jacket is reversible as well).

I ordered this for my daughter because we live in hot southern California and will be "visiting the snow," and she will need appropriate clothing. We purchased clothing from REI, and I was looking for a better deal when I came across this - Because it couldn't have been as popular, the specific color was further discounted. In any case, despite reading reviews praising its warmth, the jacket felt much thinner than I expected. I tested it under running water to make sure it was waterproof for the snow, and water poured in almost immediately through the unprotected/reinforced zipper and other openings. I took out the more expensive REI jacket to double-check that I wasn't recalling the water test incorrectly, and sure enough - it was water proof. There wasn't a single drop of water that made it through. Saving money is great, but not if the product fails to deliver on its promises. This might not be an issue for someone who lives in the snow and can easily and quickly layer up at home (and dry off there as well), but we don't have all of those other items and won't be right outside our own front door, so this won't suffice. So, despite my best efforts to love and keep it, it was returned to Amazon. It's a blessing that clothing returns are free!.
You'd think it was a winter jacket if it was being sold with snow pants. We live in Maine, so this jacket might keep us warm until the snow arrives in November. When you're playing in the snow in January, this jacket needs to be paired with a sweatshirt and a fleece from Under Armour. It looks great and is well built, but it is not insulated enough to be used in the snow. The snow pants, on the other hand, are insulated enough to keep you warm in sub-zero temperatures.
Perfect!! Bought for my skinny/tall 4 year old, it's almost perfect for him, a little big, but that's okay because there's room to grow! br>Went to Tahoe for three days in a row and stayed dry, warm, and comfortable! It doesn't have to be too big. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat!.
Color is as depicted, and the size is correct for a 4T. It's great that it has growth-extending material for next season, because that means you'll save twice as much money. A sweatshirt or long johns should be worn for extra below zero frigid days, especially if wearing the full snow pants with the coat. br>Sent to grandson, and his mother had him try them on so she could take a picture for us, but when she tried to take off the coat, the little guy cried because he thought he was going outside. However, he'll stay warm during the day.
This is a fantastic snowsuit for a preschooler or toddler! Snow pants with adjustable Velcro shoulder straps make it simple to find the perfect fit while still allowing for growth. My toddler stays dry and warm in his snowsuit. It runs a little big, but I bought it to be big now so that it will fit through the entire winter season and isn't too big to be inconvenient. I would recommend it to anyone who lives in a cold climate.
This was ordered for a small-scale project that I'm working on. nearly-4-inch frame year old after trying on some 3t and 4t Columbia clothing (he wears 3t in EVERYTHING). 4t jackets seemed too big on him (as most Columbia outerwear appears to run large), 3t jackets seemed to fit great at the outlet, and I only had the size chart for the bib to go by (as the XXS kids size bib was HUGE on him). br>br>Upon arrival, he found both the jacket and the bib on this set to be too short for him. I had to return it and replace it with a 4t set (the slightly different Double Flake set), which fit perfectly and will most likely work next year with Columbia's fantastic "Outgrown" system for children's outerwear. I understand how difficult it is to predict how things will fit across different styles, and I adored the pattern and weight of this Frosty Slope jacket, so I was disappointed it didn't work out.
I sized up to a 4t because my daughter is just hitting 3t and it fits perfectly. I'm hoping it will get me through the next two years for her. I didn't expect it to be as thin as it was. So, unless that's a misprint, I believe she'll need a sweatshirt underneath. Even her last year's cat n jack coat is twice as thick as this year's think jacket. We haven't had any snow yet, so the waterproofing hasn't been put to the test. The product appears to be of excellent quality. Does it come with a grow-to-fit system?.
He's a typical 3-year-old, but I purchased the 4T in the hopes that it would last him another winter. I'm glad I took the chance. Right now, it's the perfect fit for him. It also has a feature that allows you to lengthen the sleeves and snowpants, so I believe it will fit him next year as well. The colors are exactly as they appear in the photo. The jacket's vibrant colors are a lot of fun to wear. I adore how waterproof the material is. I felt great the other day when I wrapped my son in a blanket and took him outside in this- He was kept warm and dry thanks to the blanket. This is an excellent purchase. The only fleece-lined parts of the jacket are the hood and pockets, but it still keeps you warm. I bought him an expensive Patagonia jacket last year, but I actually prefer this one. It's a little heavier and has a little more length to it. The quality is excellent, particularly considering the low cost.
