For my granddaughter, who is seven years old, I purchased a size eight. Because this is a Christmas present, I'm not sure how well it will fit.
Approximately 6 inches tall. I purchased smalls for four children aged six and seven, but they were exchanged for mediums.
It is intended for older females. For my tall 10-year-old, I ordered an XL (size 12). It was the perfect fit for my one-year-old, but it was a little small.
In most clothing sizes, my daughter is a 6/7, and in this jacket, she is a small.

Zipper broke the first day on one, the fourth day on the second, and the sixth day on the third.
This is a very light fleece jacket, similar to the Granimals fleece jacket I found at Walmart for less than $15. Plum Purple was ordered, but I received a pale lavendar jacket instead. I went back to get a Columbia fleece, which is a lot thicker.
The fleece started pilling right away, making the jacket look old. We'd had our farm logo embroidered on the jacket, so I was particularly disappointed when it didn't last; we bought other colors, but the pink was the only one that did.
The sweater is the perfect fit for my daughter and keeps her warm on chilly days. My daughter is required to wear a uniform to school, so finding a warm sweater or jacket that does not violate the dress code is a difficult task. Thanks to Amazon, I was able to find this. br>br>Another small detail I like is the space on the tag where the child's name can be written. When other children wear similar sweaters and hang their sweaters/jackets on the same rack in the classroom, it's easy to steal another child's outerwear.
Love it! My daughter normally wears a 3T, but I ordered a 4T for a slightly larger fit and it's perfect; I wanted a Columbia fleece look without spending a lot of money, and this is exactly what I got.
I would have given it a higher rating if it hadn't shrunk so much that my daughter won't be able to wear it.
During ski lessons in the French Alps, it performed admirably in keeping the cold out. Used as a second layer under a ski jacket and over a fleece thermal. At a fraction of the cost of Columbia and The North Face, this product is of excellent quality.
For my 17-month-old, I bought a size 3T in case the 2T wouldn't last another season. In terms of height and weight, my toddler falls into the middle of the pack. I had to roll her sleeves up a little, but the fleece fits perfectly and doesn't look bulky. The material is also similar to that of a standard fleece jacket. There's nothing particularly unique about it. It also washed well for me (as evidenced by the photos). Finally, I wasn't sure about light pink at first, but it turned out to be a good choice. She tripped on the grass a few times, but it appears to be clean. After a month of use, I'll give an update.
