There is no slippery surface. These were used on stage by my grandaughter in "Newsies". Dancing and climbing scaffolds were a lot of fun.

Mary Poppins' production was held at the theater

They're very good quality for the price. I bought them for my son who has been cast as Michael Banks in a Mary Poppins production. The split soles allowed him to dance comfortably in them for two months of practices for a few hours. He wore them almost every practice day for a few hours, and they looked great with his knickers and long socks. I'd say the heels will be a bit less than half gone by the end of the show. Considering the price, I'm very happy with how these have held up so far. I think they As much as I wanted a child's size three, I ordered an adult size four. The 4 I received was the most they could send. They fit perfectly, and they come in five sizing options.

On the plus side, this item is well made. The quality of the product seems good for its price. It is important to remember that the wearer's toe should lay flat with the end of their shoes when purchasing these types of shoes for the first time. It is a size 3 on my daughter's foot. I bought two pair of shoes for everyday use, even though I normally wear 5. In these shoes, you can go up to 5. I like the fit, but it is a little big.

These shoes are perfect for playing roles and dressing up

I asked my daughter if the shoes were comfortable without a hard sole and she replied that they were very soft, she felt every pebble when she wore them outside for Halloween. It is still possible to wear shoes outside, however, if you want to do so then you will need to take them to a shoe repair person to have the bottoms replaced with hard soles.

The good thing is it only lasts for a couple This will be used in a production of Mary Poppins in which I played the lead role

My disappointment was severe because they looked really cute and they felt comfortable at first, but as the show went on they slowly fell apart. I had to tape them with black gaffer tape and that was a zero out of 10 for me since you shouldn't have to tape your shoes to wear them.

I'm not sure if the bottom pads are leather, but I'm pretty sure the top ones The shoes I bought for my daughter, 11, are for a school play. It has already been worn several times by her and she loves it. A size 2 would have been a good fit for her she usually takes a size 2.
