The velcro closure may be a selling point for some, but mine didn't come with it. It was lace all the way through- A style of shoes for up. The shoes I purchased for my daughter were needed, so I kept them, but I will not purchase.

There may be a small size run on sneakers

These sneakers are very cute and I bought them for both of my daughters. My daughter was able to fit into the size 13. They are very comfortable for her, she loves them. I have another daughter who varies between a size 9, 10 and sometimes a size 12. These were too small for her I ordered them in size 10. As long as they fit well, these shoes make great sneakers.

Do we support arch? Of course! I've found it very difficult to find kids' shoes that provide arch support, but this one does and it is not more expensive than a normal I ordered it for my child and it is exactly what he needs
