Electrical tape or electrical heat shrink should be used to wrap tightly the area you cut. Once the excess has been cut off, you can continue.

Those are some great laces

Using these laces and not a pair of high end hiking boots caused them to be destroyed. I chewed right through the supporting lace material when I used the stock laces that came with the boots. As soon as I put the Yankz Laces on the boots, even before I put on the first pair of boots, I bought a second pair.

Lace has always been my least favorite thing

It takes two knots for them to stay together. Lace has always been my least favorite thing. It is essential to tie them twice and tuck the loose ends in or else they will come undone. It's time to put an end to that! In other words, this is the greatest product "since the invention of the bread cutter. " A second pair of looped pulls I had on my old Merrills that broke even went on that pair too. This is a highly recommended product.
