I added some red paint to the splatter to make it look like blood. I also purchased an over-the-head rubber mask, which you can see in the side view photo, to make it appear as if my head had open cuts. I got it from Amazon as well. Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I have never had a teen come near me, despite the fact that I am 6'5 tall and have a large frame. br>br>Also, as you can see in the last three photos that I just uploaded in February 2021. I wanted to make my mask appear older, so I darkened it. To do this, I applied wood stain, rubbed it in, and then wiped it off. Do this a few months ahead of time to ensure that the small is gone. I did mine a week after Halloween last year, which gave it a year to work out the kinks, but I'm pleased with the results.
The mask appears to be non-returnable, and the seller's only guidance is a link to Amazon's policies (which don't appear to apply to this item). As a result, I'm stuck with this overpriced nonsense. I liked it so much that I ordered two of them, which worked out perfectly because both of my children wanted to wear the iconic mask with their costumes. My daughter was the last person I expected to put it on. They both wore the masks without complaint, and they enjoyed not having to smile for photos. It had a beautiful patina to it, which I really liked.
The mask is fantastic. This is an excellent example of a well-written essay. With the distress and scratches, the mask appears to be hand-made. I was about to go with the less expensive *unbranded* version on Amazon, which is probably fine as well, but I didn't want to take the chance since this one was eligible for a free return. There were simply too many glowing reviews to pass up this opportunity. My godson is turning seven, and he's having a Friday the 13th themed birthday party because his birthday is the following Friday the 13th, and he loves horror movies! After I surprise him with it at his party, he'll adore it. The mask is designed to fit an adult's face and will appear large on a child's face, but the straps should keep it on. I'm certain it'll fit my godson perfectly. The straps are small enough to fit a child's head (perhaps a size 6) but stretch to fit an adult's head.
For Halloween, a friend suggested doing a theme based on reimagining your favorite character as an 80s yearbook photo. I picked up the vest, a mullet wig, and this awesome mask because I already had the machete, and it turned out to be a fantastic costume. I believe I received the awards for Best Camp Counselor and Biggest Class Cut. I've played a monster in a number of haunted houses over the years, and it appears that Jason Voorhees will be joining my cast of characters.

My 5-year-old son was the recipient of this purchase. Jason Vorhees had piqued his interest for some inexplicable reason. Alarm bells should, perhaps, be sounding. Jason wanders the halls of various YouTube videos in a cute slasher kind of way, despite the fact that he's never seen a single Friday The 13th film in his life. So I took a look around and saw this mask for $10, so I said yes. I'm going to throw him a curve ball. I received this item and was blown away by its awesomeness. $10! He loved it. We hid and scared the living daylights out of mommy while listening to Alice Cooper's The Man Behind The Mask to get into character. Choo- choo- choo Ah- It was a great investment.
When we first saw the mask, we thought it was fantastic. The paint began rubbing off almost immediately after it was removed from the package. So instead of the aged look all over, there were gleaming white spots where it had rubbed away. We decided to use it as is because we didn't have time to return it and it was inexpensive, so we figured something would happen. My son, on the other hand, said it was comfortable and that it looked good after he added some fake blood to the rubbed-off spots. It was effective for his "Jason on vacation" persona.
