Mine began as soon as I removed the plastic cover. I think I turned the knob a few times as well. I've had mine since Easter, and it's still going strong.
I'm not sure how long it is, but the second notch fits my petite 4-year-old.
You can hear it if you hold it right up to your ear, but only if you do so. It's not like it's obscenely loud to the point where you'd be able to hear it if your arm was dangling from your waist.
No, I do not believe that is true. It's just a standard timepiece.

Arrived on time and in the condition that I had hoped for. It was fairly simple to read, but we discovered that he would do better with a larger face and numbers. It was helpful that the hands had the minutes and hours written on them. The problem is the area around the crown, which I can only refer to as "hips. " It makes winding the watch difficult, and it has an oddly sharp feel to it. My son was fine at first, but it scratched him, and as I type this, I'm rubbing my thumb across it with the other hand, and it's catching my thumb skin. I'm not returning it because it's inconvenient, but I might reconsider. I'm going to try filing it down with a nail file, but I wasn't expecting to need to.
This watch was purchased as a gift for our 5-year-old daughter. He was overjoyed at the prospect of being able to tell time on his own as a year old boy. br>The watch is surprisingly well made and looks great on his wrist. br>After spending a lot of time explaining how the hours and minutes work on the first day with the watch, it appeared that he would be able to pick it up quickly. Knowing that there are 60 minutes in an hour and 60 seconds in a minute was made possible by having the minutes on the bezel. He wore the watch to bed because he was so pleased with it. br>The next morning, half of the digits on the bezel had worn away to the point where they were illegible. br>The next night, he wore it to sleep again, and the digits are nearly all gone. (As seen in the photo. ) )br>I suppose they were just sprayed on with a super-strong paint. paint that's not too thick br>Now he can read the hours, but not the minutes, and we're back to square one, with no way to explain the minutes to him in a way he understands. br>I'm sure he'll be able to wear the watch for years to come, but we'll have to find a different way to learn the minutes. br>br>If you want to use this watch to teach your child how to tell time, don't let him wear it without supervision until he has mastered the minutes.
My child adored this watch, but it broke just a few days after he started wearing it. I didn't expect this watch to last forever, and I certainly didn't expect it to have a glass face. My child received some nasty cuts and bled profusely as a result of the shattered glass. Given that the intended recipients are young children, a plastic face would be a safer option.
This was a gift for my grandson, and he was thrilled with it! I gave it to him in May 2015, and he wore it for a few weeks before we put it away because it was summer and he planned to swim. He began wearing it again about a week ago, and when he returned home from pre-school today, his teacher informed him that his watch had broken. She showed me the face of it and explained that he had been holding it since the morning. It appears to have simply disintegrated, leaving him with only the strap and the watch's base. I contacted Amazon, who informed me that they would only be responsible for a month after the purchase. She directed me to the Disney year warranty, which required me to return it along with a $6 fee. The cost of postage and handling is $50. The watch was priced at $9. As a result, this isn't a great deal. This outcome, as well as Disney's poor public relations, disappoints me greatly. It's not at all what I expected to hear.
Is it just me, or did this watch only last for a week? I'm very disappointed because the clock has already stopped working! I purchased this watch on February 27, 2020, and it has since stopped working? The watch is in excellent condition, with no cracks, scratches, or other flaws. My son only wore it about ten times before it broke! It's Disney, after all. I anticipated working for a couple of years.
I can't express how grateful I am. When you click on the image, you'll notice that the hour hand and hour times are in black, while the minute hand and minute times are in a red ring around the watch's outer face. It's fantastic for teaching children how to tell the time!.
Although this watch appears to be of high quality, it was delivered damaged. Or a battery that had already died or had never worked in the first place. When my son first saw this gift, he was ecstatic, but he was quickly disappointed when he discovered it didn't work. Unfortunately, the packaging (metal tin) was damaged during his gift-opening, so I don't think we'll be able to exchange it. It's attractive, but keep in mind that it might not work right away.
This watch has a great look and feel to it. Our two-year-old son, who is fascinated by numbers, was overjoyed to put on this watch, just like his father. On the tiniest setting, it fits our toddler fairly well. The quality, on the other hand, is subpar. The numbers on the red circle's outer rim quickly faded. After only a few months, the second hand fell off the center post and is no longer functional. It still tells the time, but the rest of the product is of poor quality, and I'm disappointed.
