The xl, in my opinion, is the same size as an 18. My son usually wears a size 14 (large), so we went up to an XL just in case, and they fit like an 18. I'd use a standard children's clothing size chart as a guide.

These leggings are a good fit for my boys. Keep them warm so they can play outside in the cold this winter. I gave it four stars instead of five because I had to sift through a lot of questions. Even though the size equivalents are on the tags now that the product has arrived, I used reviews to figure out what size to order. In the listing or product information, please include a size equivalent chart.
I couldn't decide which size to get for my 14-year-old son. I went ahead and ordered the XL to be safe, and they fit but are a little large. So I'd say the XL is a 16 or 18 in size. Because it's difficult to predict what size you'll get when ordering clothing on Amazon, I decided to review just the size. The material is fine, and they've held up well after multiple washes. I would purchase this product again.
My eight- year- These tights are a hit with my 10-year-old son. In the cooler months, he wore these as his main pair of pants. He liked how they easily slipped into his boots and didn't chafe or move around. He has some sensory sensitivity to the textures of clothing on his skin, but he breezed through these tests. I placed a second order for the same items.

These would be perfect for my two young grandsons, ages 7 and 8, to wear with their basketball uniforms. I went with a medium because that's the size they wear in other brands. I'm going to let them keep these, but I'm going to order some in a smaller size in the same color.
