We recently purchased several of these sets for our twin boys, and I would have easily given them 5 stars based on the quality and price if it weren't for the fact that the colors run horribly. I was taken aback. Typically, this type of material does not run. My Shout color catcher sheets have now been washed several times and continue to pick up a lot of color. When I first washed them, I had no idea this would happen, and it affected a lot of the other clothes I washed with them. They would be a fantastic value if the manufacturer addressed this issue.
My son wore it for about 20 minutes (enough for us to be unable to return it!). ) before abandoning the project. It took a lot of effort to get the shirt over his head and his arms into the sleeves. The thumbholes were also ridiculously tight, causing his skin to chafe. The torso and pants were both a good fit. It's not like my 7-year-old is ripped, so I'm not sure why they made the sleeves so tight. For reference, my son is 7 years old, stands at 56 pounds, and wears a size small. First impressions are that the fabric is extremely soft and well-made, similar to performance layers from Under Armour or Nike, but slightly thicker and of comparable quality. It's actually so soft that I'm hoping they release an adult version soon so I can buy two pairs for myself for those bitterly cold days when I'm running or snowboarding outside. The fit is perfect and true to size (5 yo, 43 lbs, 42 inches of height, and we ordered a small), and it even has thumb cutouts so you get some coverage on your hands.
