My son is an average size 8 year old, and the medium 7/8 fit him well (albeit a little loosely). Lg 10/12 is my estimate for a 12-year-old.
Yes, it will be on a level playing field.
It's a thick shirt that's not see-through.
Simply switch brands because none of their sizing is accurate. Last year, I ordered pants and shirts for my son from this company, and despite the fact that I ordered all of the same size and all of their labels stated that they were the same size - I had at least four different sizes, lengths, and cuts, two of which were so off that they never fit him, and the return policy was awful. For $16 in pants, shipping would have cost me $10. I ended up donating them to the school because they were uniformed.

There is no way to avoid wrinkles. Cotton is prone to wrinkles. After drying, the clothes must be hung up or ironed. br>Every item I've bought from the Children's Place has been of poor quality. br>Even within the same sizes, there is no consistency. Things are sewn at an angle or are missing altogether, causing the shirt to hang awkwardly. The length of one sleeve differs from the length of the other. Sizes that are too small or that are mislabeled.
What a wrinkly disaster! It appears to be made from a fabric that is permanently wrinkled. As if it were a crinkle satin. This, on the other hand, resembles crinkled cotton. I'd put it in with Jean's at the most. I wasn't looking for anything like that.
Quality control? Are you serious? I can only assume that this shirt was returned after it had been stained. It had two noticeable stains as well as a few hairs when it arrived. This is for my son to wear to a wedding tomorrow, so we'll see if White Revive can remove the stains. (I had originally ordered a medium but switched to a small because the medium is a solid 7/8, despite the size chart indicating that a medium would fit down to a 6. ) ) Ugh.
Super cute shirt, I ordered a size smaller than he should've gotten but it fit perfectly, he left the shirt on all day so I'm guessing it wasn't itchy or uncomfortable, the design was very nice, too bad he won't be able to wear it more times but that's on me.
I ordered a size 5/6. For summer, I like the material. Good buy. It does wrinkle a little. Nothing can't be fixed with an iron. Alternatively, hang it as soon as it comes out of the dryer.
My daughter adores this shirt and wears it all the time, to school, the market, and just to hang out. br>It's held up well, and stains appear to come out fairly well as well. br>The shirt is well made and has a nice weight to it.
When the kids had their kindergarten performance, they were asked to dress up a little more. It was the perfect fit for him, with some room for growth. And he seemed to enjoy it. He's a big kid who wears a size 8, so the 7/8 fit perfectly.
This shirt is well-made, and we've put it to a lot of different uses.
