As it is long, it is good for children who are taller. I purchased a size 7 for my son because he is a little hefty and the size 7 was getting tight in the waist. Overall, it was a great purchase! My review has not been compensated or discounted in any way.

The quality is good and the length is also good

The length of these is good. My size 6 French Toast uniform pants were too short right away even though they fit around the waist. The boy I have is not very tall, but he is on the tall side of average. There was a good length to these, and the material is thick but not rigid. It would be a good idea to do so.

A terribly sewn waistband greeted me when I opened the package

This is what I would expect for my child. There is a lot of poor workmanship in these pants. As the pants were still sealed in their packages, I could see a big hole around the back waistband where the waistband had not been stitched to the pants. I was surprised to discover a horrible stitching job on the waistband once I opened the package. As a result, I'd most certainly expect my child to tear her waistband after hiking her pants up.
