Fleece with a buffalo check pattern that is both adorable and practical. Warm. My 7-year-old was a size 7 and it fit perfectly. He stands at a height of 50 inches. 56lbs. When fully zipped, the top of the zipper is slightly stiff and pokes him in the chin. It's fine now that I've filed it down.
My son loses all of his jackets, so I bought this as a cheap school option. It isn't particularly thick, but it keeps him warm. It's more like a thin fleece blanket than anything else. For the price, it's impossible to beat.
To ensure proper fit, a larger size should be purchased for the child.
