The answer is yes! A few months ago, my son turned 9 and he has a head that is average in size. He could not have been more comfortable. The fact that it is a stretchy material may be why they are describing it as a suitable activity for older kids (not sure about the 4 year old part, I would suspect it would slide down). Grandma isn't like that - The knit is stretchy, but the material is flexible. She grabbed it off the shelf and put it on -- she's 27 and it fits just fine for her as well. On the outside, it is made of leather while on the inside, it is made of fuzzy fabric. It is I am sure he would be wearing it now if we got the weather for Winter here! The hat is worth the price, and his friends liked it as well, when he wore it last winter. (DO NOT SHARE THIS HAT! I love that). Right now, it is cold where you live, so make sure you have one! The experience will not disappoint you!

It fits right in with my 5 year old son as well as my 22 month old son. The sizing is odd, but it works for me. The blanket is warm and stays put. If it doesn't wear well, it will be updated.

This is a little bit Honestly, I'm not sure how this product is supposed to be used by children under five years old It would be nice if there was a hat that would fit a 4 year old, since toddler hats do not fit

There should have been a 2- in this case This is not suitable for children under 5 years of age because it barely fits on their heads. He added a second star only because he likes the design. This could be a one-season job.
