This is a really cute suit! It's super soft and has so far held up well in the washer. This summer, when it's used on a daily basis, I'll be able to determine true quality! My only gripe right now is that the top is a little too big for my toddler, and the bottoms are too small. She's three and a half years old and weighs 32 pounds. I purchased a size 3 shoe. If you plan on using swim diapers, you may want to go up a size to ensure that the bottoms fit properly.
This was ridiculously large when it fell off my one-year-old. I'm aware that it's a one-size-fits-all situation I gave it to my three-year-old friend to try on, and it was still ridiculously big. I returned it because I'm not sure when it'll be useful.
They say it's for six to twelve months, but it's actually for twelve months when you get it. I ordered two in case the first was a fluke, but no such luck. It's cute, though; the pattern is cute, and the fabric appears to be very nice; she won't be able to wear it until the winter, when she won't be wearing it. br>I'm very disappointed. br>This is an update to my original post from a year ago. br>My daughter is now 18 months old, and this swimsuit is still drowning her.
I'm afraid to wash it again because it's pilled so badly. If you want a suit that will last all summer, I would not recommend this one!.
Our purchase has made us extremely happy. It provided enough modesty for the summer camp environment while also protecting my daughter from the sun. The fit was perfect for my slim child, and it wasn't too bulky in the back, which seems to be a problem with children's swimwear these days.
It worked perfectly; I initially thought it was too small, but it actually fit a little loosely, which was a good thing because I know she'll be able to wear it for the rest of the summer with no problems.
I bought the 6-pack. My 17 pound 6 month old is in the 12 month size, and it fits well with some room to grow. Although the sleeves are a little long, they can easily be folded. She can keep it on for the rest of the summer. I bought this and another swimsuit (different brand, similar style) and found no difference in quality between the two.
My 6M and 3YO babies had matching suits, which washed well, wore well, and they loved the colors (at least the 6M didn't scream about it).
