In short, yes. Despite its size, it does not appear puffy. In a way, it's similar to a hoodie with a zip up front.
To make sure my daughter will fit into this outfit, I ordered a size up, 18 months. I bought it for her when she was 13 months and it still looks a little large It might be a good idea to give them about 3 months so your newborn can grow into them. I hope this helps)

My baby stays warm and comfortable thanks to this blanket. Win-win! This coat fits true to size and is a great investment.
Like most Carters clothes, it fits like a glove. As Carters usually tend to run smaller for us, we bought a 24mo for our 15mo old. Also, I decided we could roll the sleeves so she could wear it as long as possible. However, this hoodie is extremely warm because it's Sherpa lined all the way through! It's great for spring and fall in Seattle.
A little bit small, but no big deal. Our daughter is almost 2 years old and we ordered 24 months for her. It does look like the jacket is keeping I wouldn't call it too thick, but neither was it too thin. Exactly what the Houston winter weather calls for. I loved the color and style of the dress! It would be nice if there was just one more size available.
Her car seat is large enough to be seated in, and the fabric is thick enough to allow her to wear it. All the way down the sleeves was a soft interior. It looked cute on her and lasted through washing and drying with no loss of size. Since she wore it over her clothes I did size up and it worked out fine.
A gift for her will be something for her home state (North Carolina) along with several other things. Apparently, it has an amazing amount of softness and cozyness, and it is It is my hope that the 3 In order to grow into a newborn or infant, 6 months is the ideal amount of time.
My favorite part of this jacket is the little buttons. It's not too thick but the material used makes it hold in the head, and she uses it as a warm coat and it's really The size of this item is a 6 She is a 5 month old and I got the 9 month size. It is a little snug, but I hope it will carry her through the winter and she is normal in size in comparison to her chart.
When I was 8 months old, I got the 18m for my (then) 8 year old and I am glad that I did so. In 2018, she will be 18m, and will be in the 99th percentile for height and 80th percentile She's wearing the same dress again for the second fall/winter season. She has been in two-to-three-year clothes for over three months and this is the only item that still fits. In general, I really like it, but I strongly recommend they reconsider changing the fabric used to connect the hood to the jacket, as this is quite noticeable There is a tremendous amount of work that goes into making this.
Last year, I bought this in a smaller size for my daughter. I wanted it this year in the same size to wear on a daily basis! The hoodie keeps her warm on chilly days when we don't have a lot of time outside but still need to be in the It is comfortable for me to wear it in a car seat. However, I wouldn't leave it on outside below freezing for a long period of time. In general, it is soft, warm, comfy, and cozy!.
