In a nutshell There is nothing we dislike about this product. It is gorgeous. The piece we just got seems well-made, but we've only got it a few days.
The legs are not as wide as I would have liked, so they went down to our toddlers' ankles but were still very well made, and they loved It looks like tassels on a tiny hazmat suit, and would make a perfect raincoat for little money.
This was the first time I looked at these and I had no idea the hood was so long, pointed, and has that weird looking tassel on the end (like you'd find on a graduation cap). Although the hoods were a bit oversized for my kids (size small for 9 months old and medium for the 4-year-old), they fit well and they looked good, but the hoods made them look a bit silly. I should have bought some rain coats at Target instead, since those would have worked fine for the rainy day at Universal studios we were preparing for. Here they are! I returned them today.
Two of these were obtained, one for my daughter and one for my son. My husband and I were visiting Niagara Falls and I wanted something more durable than the thin plastic ponchos they give away. It worked well for me. The kids seemed to like a small visor on the front of the hood the most. While we were there, it rained, so the kids wore the gear while it was wet. There's no way of putting them in the air and I knocked a star off. They are just a piece of plastic, cut into pieces, and then stitched together and bound around As a result, it is not the best quality raincoat available.
The pockets are just flaps with a top snap (it doesn't snap to anything, just as a decorative detail. )
For what it is, it's reasonably priced. My favorite part of the coat is that it's transparent so you can see the color of your clothes. Due to the need for these for a trip, I ordered the size 7/8, which were quite large on my thin, average height five year old twins. In order to roll under the sleeves, we rolled them under. There was enough room in the coat for me to move around in it. While they stumbled over the "kids'" ponchos handed out, at least the kids did not get soaked. We were unable to order the size 5/6 when we placed the order. Although the sleeves of the 7/8 are much too long, I actually like it. It will become less of a problem for the kids as they mature. About midday, it begins to rain An animal. In terms of folding back, it does not fold as flat as the folds that come in the box, though it doesn't take up too much room.
