She needed the second size because her smaller sister is larger than her. So I bought the second size one. It takes 3 years for a girl of 6 to reach the age of 13. I bought my four year old daughter the stockings, and I think they are adorable. Seeing as they run small, I recommend going up a size. The pants just fit my 3 foot 3 inch daughter who weighs 34 pounds and is about 3 feet 3 inches tall. After washing them the first time, all the bows forming part of the ballerina's skirt fell off which doesn't bother my daughter who still likes the stockings a lot and wears them often.
