I'd go with the same size as your baby's current pants. For instance, if your child wears a size 6 shoe, I'd get 9-month pants and 9-month tights (or the smallest if they don't go that small). My daughter wore size 4t pants, so I bought size 4 tights, which fit perfectly.
Use your pant size as a guide; it worked for me.
Use your 15-month-old's size as a guide. If your 15-month-old wears size 2t pants, choose size 2 tights.

I didn't expect to receive long socks; I bought them because they were advertised as tights. I was disappointed because I received 5 pairs of extremely long socks. This isn't what I was expecting, so I'll probably go back and buy from someone else.
I bought the same ones when she was six months old, and I just bought them again now that she is fourteen months old! I like the variety of colors and the fact that they aren't too tight on her. Love them.
There was no bunching or loose fabric on my five-month-old, who weighs almost 16 pounds. The leggings are made of a thick, soft material that is ideal for small legs. They have a lot of stretch to them, and I can see her wearing them until she's a year old. I would strongly suggest it!.

THESE ARE AMAZING! Very high-quality and long-lasting! ordered one of each My 16-year-old (average height/weight) fits perfectly in the 2 year size, with plenty of room to grow thanks to the stretch. The fabric doesn't thin out at all when stretched out, which is great for durability. We've gone through about ten loads of laundry so far. There were no pilling or holes after 15 times. These are adorable as hell. They come with individual labels, so you could divide them up as gifts. They don't smell like some online items, the color is nice, they're thick enough to wear with winter dresses, thick enough not to rip easily, and they're fashionable! These are fantastic, and I wish they were available in my size.
