Despite being given burp cloths as a gift, my daughter was not pleased with them. There were no absorbent qualities to these materials. It was also her first child, so she didn't want to use just "plain" small diapers as burp cloths (I know). There are a lot of burp cloths in this package. They are multi-layered (sewn together) which makes them super absorbent and I wasn't expecting that at all. This was very helpful for my preemie who was suffering from Besides being super soft, they are also lightweight. When you need to wipe the face of a newborn multiple times per feeding, this is very helpful. I highly recommend this book!.
In the past, I used cloth diapers because my first spit up so much that I needed a thick cloth diaper. There is no doubt these are as absorbent as cloth diapers, but they are also a bit more adorable. It would definitely be worth your time to work with.

Because they are wide and cushioned, they make excellent changing pads in a pinch (you'd be surprised what number of public restrooms do not have women's restroom tables. Those burp cloths are in fact made up of multiple layers sewed together, so they tend to get kind of bunched when washed but since it's a baby item, that did not bother us so Soft, great at soaking up spit up, and easy to clean, these wipes are a great choice for your baby. Moreover, they are large in size, so when you burp, they cover quite a bit of your shoulders and chest.
