We were aware that it was a little large. This summer, I bought it for the beach and pool. It was extremely comfortable to wear. We expected it to be a little large, and it was. We reasoned that he'd have the rest of the summer to adjust. We ordered the 12 month size for him because he is 9 months old, and he was looking dapper and profiled in it.
