In common with other parents who buy baby mittens, I have a newborn who is determined to pull his eyes out. The mittens have prevented him from scratching his little face, and I'm delighted that he can't do it as easily without them. Then I file down his tiny talons, he sticks his finger into his eye and pulls it out. Whenever the socks are on his hands, he squirms out of them in less than 20 minutes. The "kitten mittens" ensure that even if my babe flies me in the face, there is no harm done to me. Finally I can be out of arms reach and confident that he is not hurting himself. I like these mittens because they stay on longer than socks, and they look great too. The mittens are compatible with all the things my son owns since I have mostly been buying white baby things (to make it easier to wash). Our six pairs of shoes are just right.
I bought the second package after buying This is really cool! I like it a lot!.
I'm so glad I found them. These mittens are great. I'm so glad I found them. Although I have tried several brands of mittens and purchased many sets from retail stores (such as Target and Babies r Us), none of them have stayed on when I tried to put them The long fingernails on my newborn are too long and I have not cut them yet, so mittens are a must to stop her from scratching her face while awake. Baby mittens are easy to put on a crying or squirming baby and they stay on while they cry or squirm! It is not the first time I have recommended these mittens to a friend, and I will continue to do so to anyone who is looking for mittens that will.
Those are mitts. I bought these for my preemie babies, yes. These hands look like they have little white socks on them. They are able to avoid scratching themselves on the face this way. My twins' hands are so small that the mittens fall off maybe once or twice a day, as opposed to other brands of mittens that fall off hourly. Considering the amount of growth which is still possible, they will be able to use it at least for a few months. It is hoped that they will have learned not to scratch as often by then.
The simplest way to put them on babies' hands is to turn the mittens inside out, place your fingers inside the ribbed edging, and pull over the baby's fingers. In the following photos, you can see how the mitten will no longer be inside out, but on the baby's hand. I like these mitten because they fit my newborn perfectly, with enough room for the fingers and hand to spread A lot of baby mittens have a kind of confined shape to the hands. This kind of mitten is made of a material similar to socks, so they are great quality and won't shrink as much as other types.
They are easy to wear! There is lint on my mittens, and that bothers me. A lot of lint collects on the outside and on the inside of the mittens. They pill very easily and get a lot of grey lint balls.
My newborn grandson received these as a gift from me. They were pretty, but wouldn't stay on the baby. So we tried the Gerber brand first, because they were a bit cheaper. Since these mittens are very thick and well made, the baby can't get them off easily.
I bought the material thinking it would be okay at the time. In any case, as you wash it, it doesn't become softer in fact, it becomes rougher. During the first few weeks of his life, my baby rubs his face hard at first waking up. With those gloves on, it irritates his skin. He is now 3 months old. Initially, it might be ok for newborns, but as they get older and begin to move around more, it gets a little annoying for.
