My son is currently 15lbs and 25 inches, and the jacket fits him comfortably with room to put on over a shirt, but it may be a little small/short for your son because I washed it before we used it and it did shrink a little bit.
I might look up Hanes baby fleece sweatpants to see what they're all about.
Unless it's a gigantic baby, of course! I purchased an 18-inch model. 24 mo. You'd most likely invest in a three-piece set. 6 mo. size.

This was sufficient. It wasn't quite as soft as I had hoped, but it did soften up after a few washes; It appeared to be five years old, however. It'll suffice as a basic backyard evening hoodie, which is exactly what I bought it for. If you're looking for something to do, go out. You might want to look somewhere else (whenever that is).
I have a set of twin grandchildren (B and C). G) and purchased the gray/pink and gray/blue. (If you want to avoid princessy stuff, don't be afraid to look for girl clothes in the boy section. ) ) These are of excellent quality and look fantastic on my grandchildren. The only thing I would change is the zippers to be a little thicker. My children are too young to zip themselves, but the zipper is small and difficult to start; otherwise, I highly recommend these hoodies!.

The only problem was that the sweater was too short in length. The sleeves and hoodie part are perfect, and the size says it is for a 6-year-old. It lasted a year, as expected, but I only needed a quick sweater for a vacation, and it sufficed.
These sweatshirts are perfect for my 1-year-old twin granddaughters. I ordered four and only received three, but Amazon promptly replaced them. Because I washed it in cold water, it shrank less and lasted longer.
It's a perfect fit for my 16-month-old (I ordered the 18-month size). Is loose enough and comfortable for her to wear on cool summer nights or when the air conditioning is too strong. It makes no difference because the baby's thickness is perfect.
