It does, in fact, shrink a lot. Purchase a larger size.
It isn't particularly thick, and the pant legs aren't as long as I expected. Because we're in the north, I'm wearing it over a long-sleeve onesie right now. I believe it would be ideal for the summer (or Florida weather).

Because the romper's snaps are plastic, and I've had bad luck with companies that use plastic snaps in the past, I almost immediately returned it. However, it's very cute, and the fit is excellent, and the plastic snaps appear to be of good quality, as we have had no problems with them.
It's as easy to put on and take off as a onesie, but with a little more flair. I purchased a three-month size, and he began to fit into it at the age of one month. In the photo, he's nearly two months old and weighs 11 pounds. But he's a tall man, so it's perfect for him right now. I bought all of the rompers from this brand because they were such simple summer outfits!.
Romper is super cute and soft. In this picture, my son is 7 months old and wearing an 18-month size. After washing, it fits more like a size 12 month, which I expected given the cotton content.
I'd compare it to Carters clothing in terms of size and material; I've avoided this brand because many of their reviews are negative due to sizing issues. In terms of size, I've compared it to carters, cats, and other animals. Burt's bees, jack, and jack's bees Like carters, it is based on a fitted size. However, the size is accurate. It's made of excellent material, and I'll be purchasing more of this brand in the future. I'm kicking myself for not getting started sooner.
Lamaze is the best! It's soft, stretchy, and adorable. This is ideal for the summer. Their sizes are usually in the middle/early stages of development. Instead of having our toddler start wearing their 18-month clothes at 18 months (our toddler is right in the middle of the height curve), I would expect them to fit UP TO 18 months. So, unless your child is on the shorter side, go up a size.
It was ideal for the upcoming summer months. Crawlers have a hard time finding romper-style outfits. This outfit was perfect for him because it covered his knees and kept him warm. I strongly suggest it! Plus, the little tank top looks adorable in the arms of a cubby little one!.
I was able to get it in two different patterns for. It's really cute. For our granddaughter, I ordered it in two different patterns. Snaps are a pain for me - To change her diapers, I simply pull it down from her shoulders. It's perfect because it covers her knees and keeps her cool on top while she crawls. She'll be a year old soon - She wears everything from 9 months (getting small) to 18 months (getting a little big). The 18 months size is perfect for her and she still has room to grow.
My 18-month-old found it to be a little too tight. For a 23-pound toddler, I bought a size 24 month.
