My mobile phone has been mounted on a few different cases over the years and I always found them to be frustrations since I usually buy larger phones in rugged cases. In spite of this, I decided to give this a shot once I read comments stating that it could fit an 8" Android in a rugged case. While the length is longer than it looks, it is extremely tight and can be tossed into a travel bag without fear of it bursting. The material is solid aluminum and I have no fear of it breaking like cheap plastic ones. Even though it might get scratched up if I'm not careful, it shouldn't As an addition, I bought an Ulzani light to attach to it, and I was very pleased with the cold shoe mount, so I am showing the system together with both lights.

My decision to invest in it seems to have paid off now that I've had it for two months. This is the use case I have in mind. There is mainly a purpose for this in the basement, where we record dancing classes. The Uranzi was perfect for this as its opening was adequate to accommodate Google Pixels and iPhone Xs Maxes. It is made entirely of metal (aluminum), is light and very sturdy at the same time. Previously, I had a plastic case, which worked well for small phones, but was too tight to hold one of the larger phones like the Xs Max and eventually broke. Additionally, I like that the phone is secured by a thumb screw, not by a spring it is not bulky and uncomfortable to hold -- Unlike spring designs on other models (especially plastic ones) the springs on other models will have trouble fitting smaller or larger phones since it will be too loose in case of small phones and too tight in case of This is a great purchase for me. Overall, I'm very pleased with it. A lot of years should pass before it wears out. If I need another one in the future, I will definitely buy it again.

It is a testament to the engineering quality of the anodized aluminum that the machines were precisely made. The cost of producing this was definitely high. Throughout the manufacturing process, care was taken to ensure that all parts were within tolerance. I really like this mount for phone mounting. There are mounting holes on both sides of this mount (portrait and landscape orientation) and it can hold a wide range of cell phone shapes. There are plenty of places to mount the case (top, bottom, middle) to avoid blocking the lens or flash, but it still feels solid no matter where I put it. It does not seem as if I should be concerned about my expensive phone falling out when I put it in it Moreover, even if I destroy my phone by accident, I bet this thing would still be securely clamped on.

I highly recommend this phone mount, especially over plastic ones (do yourself a favor and do not purchase one made out of plastic). Despite the price being roughly the same, the quality was far superior and exceeded my expectations by a very wide margin.

In my opinion, this phone holder's best feature is that both the top and the bottom are made of metal. It even includes an integrated cold shoe mount. It was thanks to this mount that I was able to attach an external microphone, taking my recording skills to a new There's one thing I don't like about the very cold shoe I admire so much, and that comes down to the matter of material finishing the cold shoe doesn't seat fully into the mount since the machining is not at a 90 degree angle and the seat is rounded off. Therefore, you can never be 100% sure that everything you put into the mount has been inserted correctly. Just a minor nit to pick, but it's something that can be fixed during the manufacturing process. The other thing to keep in mind is that oversized phones and cases can be dangerous. The case you choose should be large and heavy duty if you have a phone with a large screen such as the Note 9. There is no way to fit it. I didn't remove the case until I did with mine. It is possible that Ulanzi should consider modifying the unit or adding an oversized unit. Besides that, I am happy with the product and look forward to using it again.
