The camera is very sturdy and definitely doesn't require a tripod to work well. I don't know how the face recognition rating is, but it's a very sturdy piece of equipment. Having used it for a while now, I have been quite satisfied with it. The case has a grip, but you can still lose your phone if it is not secured to the end. My old spring loaded system was much worse than this one. It requires you to screw the hold upwards and screw the hold down to secure the phone. I've been using it to hold my iPhone, and have been very pleased with it. This is a sturdy construction that gives me access to literally any orientation I want. Whether it is a portrait, landscape, or somewhere in between It's very easy to do. A padded case like this would look perfect for all iPhones, and it appears to be able to be adjusted as tight as needed. I can rotate the tripod head to any orientation, and my phone remains centered over the tripod base, which provides great stability. The price is very reasonable and it is I highly recommend this book.

In addition, it does not have a quick release to make it easy to remove your phone. I, however, can easily fit my Galaxy S9+ inside. Once the tripod is attached to the main piece, you can easily rotate the phone between portrait and landscape by simply loosening the knob. In landscape mode, you can keep your phone on the tripod while it is attached to the "phone" piece. The program seems to have a high chance of working. In search for the lowest price option possible, this one stood out and is exactly what I wanted to replace my old one, so I rated it a 5 star because the price could have been higher. Since the price could have been higher, I thought the seller deserved a bit more credit. I got it to screw right on to my tripod with no problems, and it held my iPhone No matter what phone you have, it will keep its place even when the case is 5 stars for this item, which is great for such a low price.
