got 2 packs of steel plugs from Amazon. they worked great. An offer for a ten pack of plastic plugs caught my eye. There is a risk that the plugs will come out as the reviews indicated. The reason you need 10 is because of this. In spite of the fact that I have been using the first steel plug for several months, I still use it. Neither the backup one nor the backup one has been needed.
There is a good chance that it will work with your iPhone if it has a lightning port.

As I have done with previous phones, I have a case on my phone and keep it in my pocket. Over time, pocket lint gets deposited in the lightning port, preventing the phone from charging. A while back I purchased a pair of Beats X headphones, and while they are excellent headphones, for some strange reason there was not a cover for the lightning port. The plugs have so far prevented dust/debris/sweat from entering the circuitry and damaging the headphones later. I knew it would eventually happen, but so far the plugs have been effective. As a result of their design, they "lock" into place with the recessed slots. It's hard to get them out of a hole once they're in. Pushing them in & pulling them out is easy I can pull out the chair with ease yet it is also sturdy enough to remain in for a full shift. I also like the way that the charging cable holder fits snugly on top of the plug so that I won't lose them when I charge. It is a recommendation I would give a thousand times over. Port Plugs are amazing! I'm in love with them! I bought the Port Plug because I have the iPhone X (10) and I wanted to do the "no port challenge," which means nothing connects to the port, so there is no headphone jack adapter and I'm only able to charge the phone wirelessly.
