The battery of the modern device will be constantly charged while it is in use. In the same way you wouldn't leave your phone plugged into a wall outlet on its own. As soon as it's full, it'll switch to bypass power and use the income power for the device. So once full, yeah, it'll stop charging the battery itself, but no, it won't stop giving power to the device. Taking your phone off the device or unplugging it will stop it from giving power. This is the same as unplugging your phone from its power port. It switches to full battery mode after this.

I finally found out that anyone running an outdated version of the One UI can't use the auto mode with the cooling fan. After doing some research and speaking with Samsung, I know that the cooling fan does not turn on or work with an older version of the This note has One UI 1, which has a cleaner look than the Note 7. This wireless charger requires One UI 1, which is not available for One UI 0. There won't be a fix for Galaxy S5 either. Samsung also stated that the update wouldn't be available.
