I can tell you that after 1 minute in my microwave, the metal tab on the zipper caught fire, sparking and melting the zipper. I understand why it's common sense to keep metal out of the house. The microwave, but I've been using one of these dream time masks (without the zipper) for years and have never had a problem, so I didn't hesitate.
Yes. You can wash it after you've removed all of the filling. When it's dry, simply replace all of the filling. When it's time to wash it, I like to add more lavender or flaxseed.
Yes, it's scented because it's made of lavender. but not to the point of being overwhelming

I've had this pillow for two years and am getting a second one so I can just keep it in my travel bag because I'm miserable when I forget to pack it! Eye mask straps give me a headache, press against my ears, and tangle my hair. This pillow stands out from the crowd because one side is silky and cool, while the other is warm and velvety. If the lavender aroma fades. You can unzip it and replace the lavender with fresh loose lavender. But not too much, or it'll be overpowering! Yes, you can wash it, but make sure to use an unscented detergent so you can smell the lavender rather than Tide when you lie down.
It was my first time using an eye pillow. Because I had started getting a migraine right before class, this was perfect timing. When this happens to me, I usually slam a soft ball (not a softball) or my fist into my left eye socket to relieve the pressure of what feels like a misplaced chest burster trying to exit my left eye socket. I thought that and a drug-free life were impossible until this miraculous man handed me an eye pillow. My only way out was to put myself into an induced coma. So there I was, in Savasana, fully aware of the throbbing in my eye and ready to slam my fist into it (a very unyoga-like action). As an example, when he told us to cover our eyes with pillows. Oh, baby. The fill's weight was magical in that it provided just enough weight to counteract the pressure. That night, I did my research (with one eye closed) and placed an order for this. Unfortunately, I was still having an episode when it arrived, so I couldn't have been more thrilled to walk downstairs and take it out of the box, where I immediately laid my zombie self in bed, armed with my little miracle pillow. This is a fantastic pillow. The weightiness of the fill is just right for gentle counter pressure, and the satin and velvet surfaces are cushy and soft. I'm not saying it completely relieved the migraine, but when you're a chronic migraine sufferer, any relief is a miracle. And the lavender, oh my goodness. It's gentle and sweet without being overpowering, and it's certainly soothing in those moments when all I want to do is trepanning myself. I almost wish I had more eyes to be able to buy more things.
If you suffer from chronic headaches or migraines and enjoy the scent of lavender, this is a product you must try. I've even fallen asleep with it on my eyes, which is fantastic. The best part about this product is that it comes with a pouch where you can replace the lavender if it loses its scent! One side is velvety, while the other is slik-like.
I was nervous when I awoke today, a day before the package arrived. This had been on my wish list for a long time, but I was hesitant to pay for it. This, on the other hand, I absolutely adore. On both sides, it's pleasant to touch. I'm not sure if it's because I've been wearing under eye patches, but I tried it on my face by sitting back and it felt good, so I did so for a few minutes. My puffy eyes from earlier in the day had vanished. The smell was also fantastic in such a short period of time. It didn't have a lot of power to begin with. It actually opened up both of my sinuses for me, as I have a sinus problem. People frequently breathe through only one nostril at a time, but both of them were open. I couldn't tell if it was the coolness or the smell. And as I took deep breaths through my nose, I could actually feel my pulse drop. I'm excited to try it when I get home from work tonight and put it in the fridge. I feared I'd squandered my funds. However, I expect to use this frequently, so I'm satisfied.
This is the fourth or fifth Dream Time pillow that I've purchased. I've been using one every night for many years and enjoy the gentle pressure on my eyes as I drift off. When I go camping, to hotels, or to see friends, I bring it with me. Of course, lavender oil does not last as long as other essential oils, but it is easily replenished. My tears stain the silk eye pillow, so I replace it every now and then. I've washed them and replaced the filling, but having a new one every now and then is nice. br>br>I just ordered two more, they'll make a great gift and are the perfect weight for your eyes.
On my face, I like the size and weight of this pillow. Without it, I'm nearly unable to sleep. It was originally purchased to help me relax, but I now use it every night. Much better than my sleep mask, but since I sleep on my back, it's ideal. My eyes are shielded on the side of my face by the pillow. I used to have a smaller one, but it wasn't up to the task - It felt as if it was about to come apart. The content is also top-notch - There is a cool (silk, I believe) and a warm (velvet) side. It's ideal for the summer and winter seasons. These details may not appear to be significant, but they are. A faint scent of lavender can be detected. After a while, it fades away, which is fine. I'd rather have the genuine article than some synthetic "lavendar scent" made of who knows what. Even if you don't plan on sleeping with it, the relaxing effect of a 20-minute "nap" with it will suffice.
My old, cherished eye pillow was recently left in a hotel. This one is just as nice, with the option of a different (soft) texture on each side and a refillable zipper opening. I despise strapped masks. I've never been able to find one that I liked. I sleep on both sides and my back, which allows me to keep my eyes closed. I'm used to eye pillows, so when I'm on my side, I probably hold it in place unconsciously. It's not a big deal, and I'd buy it again.
There's no need to make sure it's flat or anything because it won't harden in the freezer. It will still be flexible and bendable if you throw it in there however you want. It has a wonderful scent and is extremely gentle on the skin. For about 20 minutes, it was cold on the eyes, and then I flipped it over for another ten minutes. This is fantastic!
