Before seeing a dermatologist, I decided to try to remove the milia that had formed around my eyes myself, and when I Googled'milia remover,' this item came up along with some facial treatments. br>It's simple to use and doesn't cost a lot of money, but it should never be used for MILIA. It may be effective at popping pimples, but my doctor clarified that pimples are blocked pores, whereas milia are skin cells trapped beneath the top layer of skin rather than within a pore. Attempting to pop milia with a lancet will result in inflammation and irritation. There is no way to push anything out. br>I understand that companies want to include as many uses as possible for their products, but it seems irresponsible to claim that this product can and should be used to remove milia.
This is completely pointless. The lancet is too thick and dull to be effective, and it will cause skin damage. The quality is poor. Instead, save yourself the disappointment and purchase the Anjou kit (which includes a fantastic lancet).
I don't get pimples very often, but when I do, I find it difficult to let them go unnoticed. Despite the fact that I know you shouldn't touch them at all, I figure it's probably better to do so briefly with a clean tool than to prod at them with my big dumb fingers for three days. I can wash my face again and forget about it after a small poke to the head of a developed pimple and gentle extraction with the loop end. br>br>Because the lancet is razor-sharp and the loop is strong, you can and should use a light touch. Overall, the tool is well-balanced and does not feel flimsy. It's also simple to clean with rubbing alcohol (both before and after use, if you're clever). It also comes with a carrying case. br>br>In general, avoid touching your skin as much as possible, but if you have to, this is a good tool to use.
It's true that I don't write reviews all that often. For weeks, I had a large milia on my upper eyelid. I'm aware that this tool isn't intended for milia, but it was inexpensive, so I gave it a shot. It was sharp enough for me to pierce it, and I was able to squeeze out the entire thing, including the hard shell that was laying on my hand in the photo.
so happy! So, I'm not an acne sufferer in the least. Pimples and zits are extremely rare for me. When I do, I usually just leave them alone and they go away in a couple of days. 3 days. One year ago, I was surprised to discover that a white head between my eyelid and brow that I thought was a whitehead did not disappear as expected. It was also extremely difficult for me to pop. After doing some research, I discovered it was a milia. Milia, on the other hand, are impossible to pop. It'll be a waste of time. As a result, it lingered on my cheeks for a year. I first noticed one on my cheek about a month ago. "Enough is enough," I told myself, and went to Amazon. I discovered this magical contraption, purchased it, went through it (very quickly, by the way), and then used it. Despite the fact that I am not a dermatologist or a skincare expert, I was able to get it right the first time. I used alcohol to clean the needle part, poked the milia from the side, then dragged the loop thingy across and out they popped! This is an excellent product, and I will keep one on hand at all times. I believe the company sent a thank you note as well, which is a nice touch!.
I didn't find this to be sharp enough. I used to have a lancet that was much sharper (it came in a set on Amazon). I didn't want to repurchase the entire set, so I tried this. To puncture the skin, I had to use quite a bit of force. That is not the case for me. It came in a nice case, and the lancet is also protected by a clear rubber cap. This is an item that I will be returning.
I had recently developed a milia (white bump) under my eye that appeared to be growing. It had been bothering me for a long time. My husband attempted to remove it at one point, believing it to be a stray crumb. I was browsing Amazon for milia removal creams when I came across this lancet tool. It's the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me. I used the lancet on my milia after taking a hot shower, and it came out very easily. Make sure the lancet is disinfected before using it, and that you use it when your skin is soft, which is usually after a shower. Best wishes to you. Oh, and I had no trouble removing a second small bump between my brows. I believe I'm getting the hang of this little gadget.
Both the tool and the leather sheath have a strong odor of gasoline. It is not stated anywhere that it should be cleaned. Right out of the box, I wouldn't recommend putting this near your skin.
