This set of tools is for one person only, and it should not be shared because it will inevitably draw blood. To soften blackheads, first wash your face thoroughly and then apply a towel that has been soaked and rung out in the hottest water you can stand to your face. I keep a bottle of 70 % isopropyl or 70% ethanol on hand to clean my tools after every use. Then, before storing, wash them in a solution of liquid soap and water and dry them. After that, wipe down an area you've worked on with a cotton ball soaked in alcohol. A tube of triple antibiotic ointment (generic is fine) should also be kept on hand to apply to any areas where blood has been drawn. I used to use old-fashioned "Listerine" to kill bacteria on my face in previous "ages. " It's probably best to have a parent use these tools on a child because the parent will be able to tell if the blackhead will come out or if it will take some time (the blackhead will still be there 24 hours later). The black in a blackhead is NOT dirt; it is the result of "face oil" contacting the air, which causes it to turn black. It's much more difficult to get rid of white heads than it is to get rid of black heads. Squeezing a pimple is never a good idea. If you do, you're pushing pus back into your skin, and if you see people with "Craters of the Moon" on their faces, it's a sign of pimple squeezing at some point in their lives.
I'm the owner of a skin-care company. Use these to extract blackheads and lance them during facial treatments. This set includes everything you'll need to extract milia, for example. They work great, the lances are razor-sharp, the wired loops are thin and easy to extract, and they're reasonably priced. If I needed something else, I would order it again.
It would be helpful if each tool came with a description of its purpose. However, everything else is fantastic. It's sturdy and simple to use.
There aren't actually eight distinct heads. The third and fourth are identical. They're usually made of thin wire that digs into the skin rather than applying even pressure around the pimple or blackhead.
The pinkish color and small size of the kit are both very appealing. I'm not sure if it's the best thing for my skin if I have it - Instead of using it when I have a problem every now and then, it makes me want to try to extract every single pore and bump like Dr. Pimple Popper, and I'm pretty sure I make things worse. But that isn't the product's issue; it's mine.
Aside from the rubber pieces being a little difficult to remove from the ends, it's a great product. I used them to pop a pimple right on the edge of my upper lip, and the pain was minimal.
This collection is ideal for gently removing pimples. You can't tell you're wearing them because they're so light. I'd strongly suggest it! Just be cautious of the ones with pointy (needle-like) ends, as they are extremely sharp. Just make sure those ends are covered.
When the ends of the ends popped off, a sharp edge was left behind, which caused a cut. Then, if you look at the hook end, it appears to be coming out, but it isn't; it will simply fall out and be discarded.
