I made a terrible mistake by ordering what would be delivered the fastest. I can tell you right now that I am surrounded by tears and my hair because I made the terrible mistake of purchasing what would be delivered the fastest. As a former beauty school graduate, I know the way these things work and how to approach them. I know that I can be overzealous at times, but I am normally inclined to think it is my fault. The things I did were right, so I did not lose my hair. A 7 vol developer was applied and left to set for 10 minutes, over a week before I reapplied, and only to those parts of my hair that needed it. Thus far, so good. A lesson I can never undo has been taught to me, bleach is a terrible product. Use this at your own risk.

I was able to apply 1 packet to my hair two times, since my hair was not longer than my head. I need several rounds of bleaching on my dark hair, which is good. need to go through one or two more rounds before I get the shade I want. I did what I usually do before going out Having deep conditioned my hair a few days before I applied bleach, I was able to keep my hair younger and healthier than I was the last time I bleached As far as I am concerned, I am.

The following amounts should be used as The amount of shampoo I used was less than one packet, even though my hair is very short (undercut style). It is recommended that you use two packets at the very least, unless you also have short hair.

I have been looking for a budget product for my bleaching routine, but I will spend a few more dollars before I use it How did it go? While it did an acceptable job of lightening the load, the problems outweighed the pros. My first concern is the fumes, which are extremely caustic, and I am not a chemically tolerant person. Once I had 1/4 of the mixture applied, the exhaust fan was running and the door was open, and it was taking my breath away to such an extent that I found myself shifting positions every time I breathed. It was very slow for the lightening process to start once that died down, even with 30 vol. In a matter of seconds, it got so thick I couldn't spread a double mix through my thin, shoulder-length hair and had to add shampoo to get it to work. I massaged shampoo and/or a little water into the bleach+shampoo mix several times for a creamy lather on the skin, but the mix kept drying out and hardening like mud. Usually, I don't bleach for more than 40 or 50 minutes, but after the max 50 minutes it was still not as light as I usually see it. The fact that I did not damage my couch with 30 volumes and a single bottle of Ion step 1 for a double batch of bleach is worth two extra stars. My normal products do a lot more damage in less time and the shampoo and rewetting is turning it into an acid wash. Maybe it is the shampoo and rewetting transforming it into a bleach wash. This made my face brassier than usual, but it easily toned white. That being said, considering the decent price and the end outcome, I wish the skin hadn't been so dry and difficult to manage. As it performed so well without me having to turn the motor on and off for almost an hour, I could have worked around the horrible fumes. The next time I use this, I won't.

In the past, I have had my hair professionally dyed as well as dyed it at home, but I have never bleached it. While my natural hair color is light brown, I have been dying it dark brown/burgundy/red for most of my life. I have allowed my hair to grow naturally for the past year without dying it.

I used Prism Lights bleach a few days ago about halfway through my hair trying an unfamiliar brand. If you have receded hair, you can use a 20 volume developer, but you can also use a 30, or 40 volume developer. Approximately 4 inches from the roots (prospecting for an ombre) I applied this bleach and allowed the hair to process for 45 minutes starting at the time I first applied it. will wash the first side I applied the bleach to, then wash the other side, letting the bleach do its work on both sides. I will rinse thoroughly and lightly apply shampoo before using Ion after-treatment. Give it five minutes to soak in the color.

I am really happy with how my hair looks, it's exactly how I expected it to be. Due to the volume of red in my hair, the color of the hair is a soft orange, as it should be. To counteract the reddish orange tones, I have purchased a purple shampoo which I will use in about 48 hours to give my hair a break. The following week, I will apply my deep purple to pale lavender dye, and I expect the results to be great! We strongly recommend using this process if you are very comfortable and have researched your process to ensure that you are taking all the necessary steps to ensure that the process protects and strengthens your hair.

The bleach was left on for 50 minutes on my hair and it finished at about a level 7/8 after being covered with coconut oil for about an hour prior to application. In order to counteract the orange tones I had, I followed this up with a purple hair mask to which I added a few drops of blue mid-term hair dye. Definitely get at least two packets if you're hair reaches your shoulders. I was satisfied with this product and will use it again. Even though I did not apply it to my whole head, I did run out of product before I was able to properly saturate up to as much of my hair as I intended.
