While the previous model had great cutting capabilities, this model lacks any ability to cut. It is rare for me to leave a poor review since most products seem to be fine for me. In spite of this, I feel forced to write this review because I do not like this model at all. I own the previous model, and it works exactly as you would expect. It cuts off nose hair and trims eyebrows without any issues, and it leaves you looking more aerodynamic and attractive. It is clear to me, however, that this model cannot even be considered effective. It sounded like the cutting machine was just not working. I tried again and again but could not hear it. My cutter didn't seem to work after I rinsed it. There is nothing. Aiming to make the cutter more precise. There is nothing. I removed the eye protection and took the brush straight to my eyebrows. There is nothing. It is hard to find words to describe how awful the new design is. The thing that irritates me most is when a company releases a product without seeming to even test What happened here feels similar to what happened in the movie. As a result of an overeager release, the quality of the new model has disappeared. This model should not be bought instead, choose the previous one. You will be greatly appreciated by your girlfriend/wife/partner.
It does not come with all the The M eyebrow guard shown in the picture does not come with it. As a matter of fact, the actual box does not even contain any information about it. There is no picture of the guard on the product, but they took a picture of it first.
This is pretty annoying since I specifically wanted the one.
There is another brand of nose trimming machine that is better for our needs, as there is no sharp blade to work, so I prefer another brand. I'm not happy with this purchase at all. And we buy a lot of products through Amazon, and we're satisfied. But I need to purchase a new Norelco trimmer since this one has a few problems.
Purchasing a new power supply from Philips Norelco was not a problem. The trimmer comb has not yet been provided. Because I purchased the products for the trimmer comb accessories, I found it to be misleading. The statement that was provided to me is below. First of all, I apologize for the confusion, and I should clarify that, according to the user manual for the unit's model, the detailer trimmer comb does not come with the unit.
The Norelco product has been on my radar for a couple of years and I own an older version of it that has lasted for around three years. In the end, it's better going back to the previous one, since the new one pulls the noise hair too much. The Norelco carrier bags are too small to transport this for travel, and it is easy to lose.
My NT9110 model has been obsolete for 6 months and this new model has not been nearly as effective as my old NT9110 model. NT5600 comes with a nice collection of attachments, but I use it mostly on my ears, nose, eyebrows, and the top of my head. While grooming, I take twice as long when using the NT5600 since it doesn't trim as close. In fact, I am going to retire the NT5600 and get a NT5175 in its place. I used to have a NT9110 that had a superior base design, which is the NT5175.
I am quite pleased with the product. It is easy to handle, not too noisy, comes with good attachments that make trimming sideshaves an easy task, as well as trimming ears, noses, eyebrows, etc. It could benefit from a bit more electricity, but that is the only complaint I have. There is a caveat, I am not yet sure whether this is as a result of the original supplied battery or intrinsic, but it slows down after a few seconds. Although it doesn't slow it in a way that would interfere with grooming, it does slow it by a little bit. The product is a solid choice in my opinion.
The whiskers on my nose were becoming longer than my mustache, so I decided to buy this device. At least for the nose, it works as promised. If the ear hairs start growing and I need this device, it will be a sad day for me. However I probably won't mind at all by then.
