It lasts forever after taking proper care of it. Every vintage safety razor has its own personality, some mild, some aggressive. Since I shave very early in the morning when I may not be fully It's not a good idea to have a razor blade at your throat while half asleep) I always have this styptic pencil on hand. It is large compared to other brands, but I like and dislike that as I have had others that are less compact. Their thin and fragile nature makes them easy to break. Storage is also made easier with the inclusion of a plastic tube and stopper. Below are a couple of tips for using the website When storing the pencil, make sure you thoroughly dry it before putting it away, because any leftover water will erode its smooth surface and leave you with an uneven, pitted surface that won't feel good in your hand. The second point. Make sure it doesn't fall! As soon as it splinters, it can develop sharp edges. Neither of those feelings will be pleasant. I think that this is an excellent product. It stops the bleeding from any nicks and if I get a paper cut or thin cut on my finger it works well for that type of injury, usually if it is superficial and not deep (Don't expect it to replace.
It is an excellent product and is one I will continue to use. When I do this, it works every time! There have been a few smaller chips and a few bigger ones, and none of them proved unreachable. Despite having these pencils for decades, I have never had an incident where they could not handle it. It is the only product I use every time I shave. I feel the sting for a short while, maybe a couple seconds, then my skin calms down. The razor burn I used to get from shaving has stopped since I've been using this daily. With this pencil, I can now shave wet like I used to. It also has the excellent quality of being odorless. Hence, I can use it with my aftershave and moisturizer without any issue with it overpowering my aftershave. Once it has been used, please make sure you dry it off before putting The water left on it will cause it to disintegrate if it is not completely dried. A stick of this size is good for at least a month. It's a great product and I'd recommend it highly. Thanks for reading and if you find it useful, please vote so. Hope you have a good day.
In my experience, I occasionally use a styptic pencil since I shave with a DE. If you take care of it properly, you can expect these jumbo ones to last for a year or so. In order to prevent it from melting or dissolving, it must be dried after use. There was too much value in this deal to pass up. It would be a waste if I had so many, but what the heck! For the next six years, I'm set.
I have been stocking up for a long time. If you tend to nick your skin while shaving, I highly recommend it. You MUST have. This larger size is easier to use, rinse and reuse when compared to those slim average sizes. I bought one in a six pack During my travels, I put one in my bag and placed one in each bathroom. If you have teens in the house, you may want to share one with them (the large size can make shaving legs and body hairs much easier with the extra cushion). It's no longer necessary to deal with bloody, little tissue spots, because these stop bleeding within minutes!.
We purchased a six pack a few years ago, and we still have a few. I really like how long they last and how they work! The price is so low that I restock at the lower rate. What a great deal for product that works If you can find them, they're way better than those matchsticks you get at the drugstore or wherever! Having these on hand is a must if you shave with a blade razor.
I found it hard to acquire one of these locally, either because the store didn't have one or because the price was really high. I got 6 large sticks for under $10, so I feel like it will be a good deal. The brand hasn't yet been tried by me, but I have used other brands of styptics in the past, so I am.
As a result, I don't look like I've been in a sword fight nor do I bleed when I shave if I nick myself.
These types of pencils or sticks have been used by my husband for shaving cuts for over a decade and they work well. One great feature of these is that they are thicker (chubby) than others we have bought before, so if you do over a scrape or cut they will cover almost instantly. There were six of these in my order. The review I wrote is unbiased, and I was not offered a discount in exchange for it.
