In a crock pot, they won't get quite as hot.

It has a larger capacity and a nice black finish, which I needed for my busy 5-chair salon. It does not, however, heat beyond 145 degrees, despite the fact that the manufacturer claims it should be between 150 and 160 degrees. 170 I ordered a replacement because I thought the first one was defective, but it was the same. ON THE HEAT, FALSE ADVERTISING WORKS GREAT FOR "WARM" TOWELS, NOT "HOT" TOWELS.
This isn't as hot as I'd like it to be.
My mother owns a nail salon, so I purchased this StateRiver hot towel warmer for her. And it turns out to be a fantastic opportunity for them. In comparison to other warmers, this one is quite large. It has a maximum capacity of 60 towels. The temperature can reach 175 degrees Fahrenheit. The internals are made of oxidized aluminum, so they will not rust, and cleaning is simple: simply remove the trays and wipe the interior. Investing in keeping customers moist is a wise decision.
I usually put ten towels in at a time, but I think I can fit 20 in there. The temperature rises rapidly. I also set a timer for it (as well as the lather machine) so that they are both hot when I arrive at work. Because it takes a long time for towels to heat up.
This hot towel cabi DOESN'T MAKE TOWELS HOT, but it DOES KEEP THEM FROM BECOMING HOT. br>For facials, I use hot towels; if I put wet towels in and leave them in all day, they are just the right temperature - They have the ability to go straight into the eyes of my clients - which is fine. br>I prefer to microwave my towels hot and then place them in the cabi, remove and shake for a second or two before applying to the client's face to get that great 'ahhhhhhhh': ) a response br>It'll do for now, and the price was a lot less than what I could get from my professional sources, so I'll take it.
This machine is terrible; it takes over an hour to get hot, so don't waste your money. If you do buy it, make sure the towels are hot before you put them in; otherwise, your customers will be unhappy.
Can hold up to ten large towels, as described.
For my nail salon, this is the perfect size. My towels, on the other hand, were not sufficiently warmed. I even pre-warmed the towels by soaking them in the hottest water I could find, wringing them out, and placing them inside the warmer. The towels were only mildly warm after 2 hours, but the Amazon return process was painless and quick.
