* I returned the first unit because it was defective. It has a weight capacity of 400 pounds, but I am nearly twice as heavy as that. A die-cut piece is used for the base The product was returned without issue, a replacement was supplied immediately. As far as I am concerned, (after 1 week), no problems have been reported however, I would suggest the company change the base material from die-cast to other materials. The transition from cast metal to steel occurs at the casting process. I received the replacement stool that developed the same problem with the arms of the base coming out of alignment.

The replacement stool developed the same problem. Even though it was irritating enough for me not to have it replaced, I did not attempt to get it repaired. Over the past six months, I have just stuck it in a corner and not used it. To put the arms back into their original positions, I used a large pipe wrench and twisted it slowly and carefully. Almost a month has passed since I started using this. In the meantime, the side plates on the casters have bent, and it is now impossible to roll the stool without stopping. I am going to order new casters that can handle more weight and see whether that makes it possible to use it. The current state of the product does not allow me to recommend it.
A good kitchen stool that is easy to roll and tall. It's good to see the initial results. The ball rolls extremely smoothly.
