As advertised, I received a mirror that is only 14" high by 10" wide, rather than the 18" X 14" that appeared in descriptions. When I took it out of the box, it was very small, not at all what I expected. Although I couldn't imagine it would be big enough to use for styling hair, I thought I would set it up and try it before deciding whether to use it or not. I knew it wouldn't work as soon as I saw it. When I was browsing Amazon tonight to find a replacement, I got out my measuring tape to see how much bigger a new one would be than the one I received, and was amazed to realize it was WAY smaller than what was quoted. It's not a lot bigger than a sheet of copy paper but saying "large" in the description makes me think it's intended to be large. So not only does it not make sense for me to use (to style my hair) but it also looks really tiny on my vanity. I am not sure if they just sent me the wrong product or if they quote the wrong prices for all pieces of the order.

Since I just received this mirror today, I opened it right away and pulled it out of my vanity table to use it as I applied my makeup. I'm sorry for my language. not so bright that you can't see yourself in the mirror, but it is enough to see where you are going. One more thing I appreciate is the fact that the metal body is made in an iron metal not plastic so I can say that this is a well made makeup mirror. I just wish the white color was bigger but other than that I think it's a cute addition to.
