Within 2 weeks of the mirror being mounted on my bathroom wall, the top section of the mounting broke Originally from Australia, you may be able to find the exact same item in the United States. I am sincerely hoping that this was just an isolated incident and that it is not the regular way things are made. In the event that I receive a response, I will update my blog.
My favorite mirror, which I use twice daily to apply makeup in the morning, and to remove makeup and tweeze facial hair at night, keeps me looking great all day. Everything you need is included to mount the piece, and it is gorgeous. With the magnification on, the mirrors are great because they are clear and don't become distorted. Whenever my daughter starts wearing makeup in a couple years, I will be buying at least one more for the bathroom. We highly recommend and are extremely pleased with it.
I am not happy that it is not accurate. Despite its size, the frame of this mirror has only a diameter of 7 1/2" 9 is the number. That 8" measurement that got me excited is the outside measurement of the pivot hinges, each of which sticks out 1". There is a difference of 12" between 13 1/2" and 12". It's the same size as all the other mirrors in the end. I had been hoping that the metal would blend in with my mostly chrome fixtures, but I was disappointed with how bright and shiny the metal is. I may not bother returning it due to how heavy and solid it feels. To support the weight, I still need to visit the hardware store to purchase proper mounting hardware.
This was the best decision I ever made. Because of its purpose, I had to play around with placement, but it works great. The piece was heavier than I expected and we did not mount it in the drywall, so that is why we placed it where we did.
I am moving, so I thought I would update and let everyone know that it is still good, and that it works well. *)
It arrived in I liked the way the package was packaged. There are no imperfections in the final product. When I installed the software, I noticed- Because the base is not perfectly level, the arm is not perfectly parallel to the ground when I installed it. That's something to check before you hang yours! I'm not redoing mine! I installed it myself, although the instructions were a little tricky for someone who's never done this before. I used the anchors provided to attach mine to sheetrock, and it is well attached to it. It will stay that way as long as I check it from time to time. This purchase has been extremely satisfying for me.
I'm very pleased with the quality and price. *For a secure mounting here are the steps you should follow and suggest. Hold the mirror - I recommend using a vice. The location where the mirror will be used should have a good amount of lighting Put a mark on the wall to indicate the correct height. A stud finder will help you locate solid wood behind the sheetrock. This is the location to mark. It is important to choose two screws that fit the holes in the bracket and are long enough to run through the sheet rock and into the wood so that a solid mount can be achieved. Set a level up and mark the holes for the mounting bracket while it is upright. The bracket needs to be affixed to Make sure the mirror moves freely by lubricating the hinges with a little oil and securing it with cap nuts. After extending the bracket, it should appear level as long as you were careful to level it Check with the wife to see if she likes your new toy, and she might even use it once or twice.
in nickel finish has an attractive appearance, it looks more expensive than it actually is. With its 7x magnification, it is ideal for applying It's not uncommon for me to magnify by 10x when working closely. -I'm so worried about not having enough power for the 7x Distortion is much less, so there is plenty to go around. The glass is smooth and does not have any waves or irregularities. As the mirror is heavy, hollow wall anchors were unable to secure the mirror because it must be secure in order to move during usage. The studs will have to be located in the precise location where you want it to go, otherwise it will be a problem. Using 1/8 x 2" toggle bolts instead of the provided screws, I was able to mount the towel racks. During my research, I came across the following problem It was a little tough to mount it straight until I realized the shaft where the mirror arm attached was a little loose and out of line with the other side. A simple fix would have been to tighten it up, but I had already cut many holes in the wall, and was puzzled at first as to why I couldn't get it up straight using two After I mounted the unit upside down (with the arm above the mirror), I repaired the original holes and tightened the screws. I actually prefer this way of looking at it. Don't worry about loosening anything, just make sure you tighten everything up correctly.
the finish is nice, and it arrived in good condition. We had to spray some WD40 to free up the arms after they were very difficult to articulate. Despite our best efforts, the hardware provided was very poor in In addition, the wall plate holding the mirror in place was stripped and rotated when the screws were tightened. The mirror could not be tightened flush with the wall plate, which made it impossible to secure it. It took me a while to swap out the screws for better ones and rethread them, but I couldn't get the wall plate off of the screw at all after they were out of alignment. The mirror was then secured to the wall directly with a pair of flat-head screws and cabinet washers after the wall plate was discarded. If this company provided a better mounting hardware design and better mounting hardware, then this headache could have been avoided.
