There is bad news the light is only a little bright, it goes completely dark after just a few seconds. Since my phone flashlight is no longer working, I am forced to use it It is a beautiful mirror, a great purchase, but there are some things to keep in mind if you are planning to buy it Please note that it does not come with AAA batteries (four needed).
DO NOT drill any holes into your wall until you are certain the face plate is properly mounted. The mirror was mounted after we spent about an hour trying to figure out how to mount it. And we drilled a lot of holes in the wall to make sure it would fit. (3 small pictures are included in the instructions that came in the box. There was no help out there)
We finally found slightly better instructions online and were We ended up having to use our own studs since the drywall studs were too small. Regardless, it is a beautiful mirror and I do like the lighting!.
I gave it 4 stars because the back sometimes didn't stay on, which is one of the reasons why it's easy to put in the batteries.
A major problem comes from the fact that the screws attached to the bracket were not long enough for the mirror to be connected. In order to install the mirror, you must secure the bracket to the wall by attaching the two screws protruding out to meet There aren't enough screws to physically attach the mirror to the bracket with those screws. Using washers as spacers behind each screw used to attach the bracket to the wall, I was able to use the bracket as a support. Therefore, I could thread the nuts onto the mounting screws to secure it, since the screws would extend further. If you have a bunch of spare parts handy, you can do this pretty easily. Most people won't be able to figure it out easily, as it might take a bit more time and problem solving. There are some drawbacks to "plug and play".
A large amount of water rings surrounded the rim, and the inside of the mirror was full of dust, hair, and scuff marks. AFTER using a magic eraser to clean it out, these photos were taken. There is still a lot of gunk As part of the wiring is corroded, I don't plan to use the battery-operated area that lights up the mirror. I am not satisfied with the product, especially since the price was so high.
I am able to do my eyebrows much more easily now. Installing it couldn't be simpler. A bottle is shown with super small writing in the photos. In the mirror, you can see how magnified and bright it.
After paying an independent handyman to install the mirror, the normal side would flop and there is no tension at all. The magnified side of the mirror is only usable when the user is about two inches from it or else it turns into a We had to order a mirror from a 3rd party to cover the holes already made this, too, did not please us. As you can see, this was definitely a used mirror, for one, the packaging was taped and beat up, for another, I assume the buyer couldn't put batteries in because the mirror was too jam-packed. As this mirror already has holes in it, I will not be able to install batteries for the lighting. The one with the floppy mirror has yet to be picked up by UPS. Although I love Amazon, I have had a very frustrating experience with this purchase.
I have updated my Oct 2017 status. It has been 6 weeks since I first got it. Three weeks after I got it, the batteries I bought started dying and I finally got around to buying replacements. I still can't get the light to This is horrible. If I can get in touch with someone for warranty claims, I will be able to return to Amazon after more than two weeks. There is no longer a reason for me to
That mirror is great. The 8 was a good score for me. A 5" size would be too small for me, and anything smaller would be too small. I like the light best if I have my room light on at the same time. It's a great magnifying glass - 10x magnification Each wrinkle will be on display for you. It's so easy to put on my makeup with it. If you stand too far back, you see a blur. This is why you have to be close so that magnification works. With no light, I had a similar one for years and never had a problem with it. In my new bathroom, the lighting looks quite helpful because the room is a bit darker. Compared to its price, it seems well made. It was easy to install, you just have to remove two pieces from the screws holding the backplate on. Put up the mirror and screw the two screws in the covers. Attach the back plate to the wall. As it did come with the useless drywall anchors that never hold, the product is useless. The fasteners you use need to be better if you plan on installing it into drywall only. Other people reported difficulties opening the mirror in order to access the batteries, but I had no difficulty at all. There are no 4 AAA batteries included. I have one complaint about this floor lamp it has been stamped right on the base with the manufacturer's name. There is nothing I hate more than Thus, their name makes the product look worse, not better, and gives them a minus one Advertisements for companies are not something I wish to see in my house. A pretty picture is more appealing to me than an ad. As soon as I run into problems in the future, I will update this post.
