In short, yes. The exterior is made of metal rather than plastic, but I am not sure what type of metal it is. It is heavier than it looks, but it is well made.

A couple of my stand up mirrors will not stand up they are always folding Mirrors like this don't just look amazing -- they also stand up to heavy use well! My mirror is the perfect size, I always use it at any chance I get. I like how it isn't too small, but its not too big either. A lot of people have complimented me.

I was not pleased with the way it was delivered

The gift I wanted to give my sister for Christmas was - We are friends. My frustration grew because it was supposed to arrive 3 days after it did, so now it will not be delivered to her Had it not been for the delivery, I would have given it a higher rating. I still find the mirror to be beautiful!.

It was a hit with her. This is a very affordable option. It took about a month for it to arrive, so order in advance. One will go to my sister and one to my mother for Xmas as I plan to order one from each.
