Questions & Answers
I discovered the brush to be a genuine Sigma. The brush is one of my favorites. If you're worried, order directly from Sigma or do some research on the company selling the brush. It does exactly what I need it to do, and I've washed it several times and have yet to lose a single strand. I'll also point out that SOME of the one-star reviews I've read mention the brush being used for something it wasn't designed for. A blending brush is what it says on the tin. It is not as soft as others, but that is due to the fact that it is not as dense as a concealer brush or an eyelid brush. It should not be used to apply concealer or color to the face. It's big and fluffy for BLENDING in your crease, and the brushes are supposed to spread out while you're using it to really buff out shadows and remove harsh lines. If you're looking for a way to get a lot of color in a small amount of space, this is the way to go. E55 is an option to consider.

This brush isn't quite what I was expecting. I've learned from watching a lot of YouTube videos that the Sigma E40 is the best brush to start with when doing your eyes. It'd be your "fluffiest" brush, and you'd use it to apply your transition color just above your crease. I already had a Younique fluffy brush that I was using and it was fine, but I really wanted to upgrade and get the Sigma E40. It was NOTHING like the YouTube videos, and it was WAY more tapered than my Younique brush when I received it yesterday. I should have believed the reviewer who compared her original E40 brush to the one she purchased here. This brush is being returned, and I purchased the Sigma E40 from the Sigma website, despite the fact that the picture on the website does not resemble the brush I received. My new E40 from Sigma will take some time to arrive, but I'd rather wait for the right one. Until then, I'll just keep using my Younique brush.
After reading the reviews, I was a little hesitant, but I purchased this brush and it is fantastic. The coverage is described as "sheer to medium" on the package. I also purchased this brush and a few others from the Sigma website during a sale and compared brushes; if this brush is fake, it's a fantastic fake. Everything is exactly the same, right down to the blending.
This brush is similar to the previous one, but it is designed differently; the bristles are longer, allowing for less control. I knew I wouldn't be replacing my 217 with this, but I needed another brush to apply a base color all over my lid and help lay down my transition color in the crease. I decided to buy this brush because it had so many positive reviews for both of those uses. Despite the fact that the brush is well-made and has a nice weight and construction, I still prefer my MAC 21. I just think the E40's bristles are too floppy to do what I want. This brush accomplishes its stated purpose; however, it falls short of my personal requirements.
No offense, but if I could give 0 I would. This brush isn't a genuine Sigma brush, in my opinion. It wasn't very full, floppy, and I couldn't blend anything on my eyelids with it because it wasn't firm enough. This disappointed me greatly because I had high expectations based on YouTube reviews. Sigma is either cutting corners on quality as a result of their success, or this is a hoax. I immediately returned it; after all, I had just spent $16 on something I thought would be amazing and superior to my previous Mac 224. Unfortunately, it wasn't even close; drugstore brushes were superior. I bought a $9 BH blending brush and I absolutely adore it.
Makeup is something I'm not very good at. This brush is a dream to work with. I apply Urban Decay Foxy all over my face, from lashline to brow, because it matches my skin tone. Nothing really stands out, but it serves as a foundation for blending Urban Decay Buck under and slightly across the folds of my lid hood. I use Buck to load the brush, tap off the excess, swish the brush in a circle inside the eyeshadow container cap to distribute the shadow, and then apply. Then I use the brush to fluff away any excess shadow on my lid. I've never been able to effectively use two eyeshadows to add depth to my lids before, but with this brush, it's a breeze. I look like I know what I'm doing with a smudge of eyeliner and a sweeping of mascara. I'm going to buy another of these brushes just in case I misplace the first; That's how much I enjoy it.
For a long time, I've wanted to try the Sigma blending brush because I've seen many YouTube make-up tutorials using it. I was looking for tutorials using this brush and couldn't decide between a Sigma and a MAC brush. This one appealed to me because it is less expensive and has received positive feedback. With my eye make-up, I always struggle to blend out harsh lines. This brush's fluffiness appeals to me in particular. I immediately tried it out after receiving it today, and it far surpassed my expectations! I like how it blends my eye shadow and feathers it out for a seamless look. The brush head is also large enough to diffuse the eye shadow rather than having it concentrated on my lid. I'm excited to get my hands on more Sigma products in the near future!.
I caved and bought two Sigma brushes after hearing so many positive reviews about how great they are. I was so looking forward to using them that I was disappointed. It's impossible to blend anything with this brush because it's so soft. Don't get me wrong, the brush is of good quality, but it can't be used for blending. My drugstore brushes do a better job and are less expensive. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I looked up pictures of this brush online after being so dissatisfied with it, and I'm pretty sure the brush I received is a knockoff. The one I got isn't even close to the other ones in terms of thickness. It is neither as dense nor as fluffy as it should be. I'm going to give it back to you.
This is not a genuine Sigma brush, nor is the product description accurate. I've purchased Sigma brushes directly from the company's website as well as from Nordstrom, and this brush is either a knockoff or incorrectly labeled. It was the E-brush that I ordered. I received what appeared to be an E-mail at the age of 40. It didn't appear to be one of the TWO E- I currently own 40 brushes. When compared to the ones I already have, the metal length, black brush handle, and even brush fibers were all a few millimeters off; the fibers are long and compact, vs. shorter and fluffier than a real E- Although I understand that some brushes have fibers that expand over time/use, changing and relaxing the shape of the bristles, this brush is NOT the E-Z-E-Z-E-Z-E-Z-E-Z-E-Z-E-Z-E-Z-E-Z-E-Z-E-Z-E-Z-E-Z-E-Z-E-Z-E-Z Sigma and Nordstrom both advertise a size of 40. If you want to be sure you're getting the real deal, buy from a reputable distributor.
